It matters when VAR can't find a conclusive camera angle without any obstructions (eg goalkeeper).

Well you learn something new every day. No goal line technology. Why does it matter anyway if you have VAR to overturn the error?

Was reading in the Athletic today that Javier Tebas said that it was too expensive given that it would only be an issue 5 times a season. Surely that’s enough times to warrant implementation.

It can't be too expensive ffs. La Liga use some of the most advanced cameras around to record and broadcast their games. It's what they implemented to help differentiate themselves from The Premier League (defacto Super League).

I couldn't believe when I heard that La Liga doesn't have GLT in this day in age - apparently too expensive. Wtaf? This is one of Europe's major leagues in a modern Western European country we're talking about, not some backwater in Eastern Europe.

Absolute sh*t show last night for El clasico. No goal line technology in La Liga. Clear goal for Barca not given. The worst run league in Europe.

I’ve seen him against Napoli, Atleti and PSG recently and he’s been really impressive. His ability to pass through the lines accurately whilst inviting the opposition press on to him has been the standout

Graham Hunter was saying last week that he’s never seen a young CB like him. Reckons he’ll go on to become one of the best.

Cubarsí is outrageous for a newly turned 17 year old. It's still early days, but Spain might have found their next Ramos/Piqué calibre CB. That's back to back commanding displays vs Napoli and Atlético. La Masia has eased their financial issues. That is a lot of in-house talent. Xavi announcing he was leaving after the Villarreal game has given them a bizarre lift. I wonder will he do a U-turn. |

Cracker of a week for Barca. That’s a big win at Atleti tonight. They have a phenomenal amount of young talent around the first team. If they can hang on to that core of players - Pedri, Gavi, Balde, Yamal, Fermin, Cubarsi and Fort - then they could be flying again in the next couple of years
