Is there? No mention of it online, or so a quick internet search suggests and isn't on any betting shortlist. I know Sunderland seem to want to continue to shoot themselves in the foot, but even by those standards Paul Ince would seem absurd.

I got the info from a taxi driver in Sunderland so I know its 100% true.

Just wondering, did all the Sunderland lads learn the same type of typing style, use of emoticons and posting of ‘reports’ without links in the same place?

Who needs SSN when you have got the foundation of all knowledge taxi drivers! Don't want Ince would love Chris Wilder as new manager but as this takeover drags on then that looks more and more unlikely.

According to the Beebs Press Association chief football writer Simon Stone Stewart Donald is meeting with the EFL tomorrow. Hopefully some light at the end of the tunnel.

Petty comment Confused

What difference does it make if an ex Rangers man is in charge of Sunderland? Dick Advocatt kept us up not too long ago!

Alex Rae was a fine player for Sunderland and should he get the job, he will at least be an ex Sunderland man who knows what it’s all about from the inside.

Alex Rae has managed in well over 100 professional games, as well as being an ex Sunderland player.

Experience only counts for so much...

Still don’t get why you would have an issue with a “hun” taking over Sunderland....

Anyhow we shall see who’s the next boss

Seeing as Sunderland have hardly been the model of consistency in appointing excellent managers in the last 10/15 years who knows how well Alex Rae could do?

You talk about lack of experience yet you would have no issue in rewinding time to 2006 and seeing Roy Keane take over again I’m sure?
