Parkes offered nothing all game. Very even match though, Sligo much improved compared to last season.

"The Football Grounds of Europe" about Dalymount that :- "You walk down lanes you'd expect to find a backstreet mechanic only to stumble onto a national stadium steeped in tradition and history"

Thought he was poor enough tbh. Got in to some great positions but had no end product and made wrong decisions all game.

Another win for the real Rovers. Dundalk were poor. They need a manager asap to put some certainty at that club.

All the new Dundalk signings are distinctly average...plus playing on that surface seems to be hindering them now.

The plan by Sligo for the development of the showgrounds while also building the state of art academy is absolutely fantastic to see. Big credit must go to sligo rovers, the sligo County Council and the people of sligo for backing this very ambitious and visionary plan.
This is what you would hope all the councils and clubs that are in the top divisions should be striving towards.

This would be phenomenal if it gets the go ahead. Between this, Harps stadium and Dalymount, this could be the start of a welcome modernisation of facilities of domestic football here. (Throw in the final stand that is due to be built in Tallaght and a of a sudden we could have a coupe of lovely, for for purpose, little stadiums)

Clermont Foot got promoted to Ligue 1 recently. Their stadium looks like an Irish soccer/GAA ground. Incomplete, in other words.
