This development might hasten the transfer of Jason Knight to one of the Premiership teams who are after him. Derby already have severe financial problems and there are growing rumours that the proposed takeover is likely to fall through. A £2 million bill on top of all their other current woes will cause further pressure and Knight is surely their most marketable asset right now.

Would a Premier League move suit Knight at this stage? Want to see him getting as many games as possible at the moment.

No. Playing 90 minutes every Saturday should be the main aim.

True, the EPL is as likely to have games at half five on a Wednesday morning these days.

Not having most games at 3pm on a Saturday is one of my main gripes about modern footy (I have many).

I disagree, but I wouldn't use either.

Yes I miss the days were there were 5 or 6 games of footy on at 3pm and goals flying in everywhere

It was great for people who live in England and went to matches every weekend to have matches on at 3 o’clock on a Saturday.

As an armchair fan of English football, it’s great that the fixtures are spread out.

The move from 3pm kick offs is a sign of the disconnect clubs have to their communities. They no longer serve communities and instead serve their corporate masters who want us all sat on a sofa at every moment to maximise their commercial revenue and bombard us with advertisement's for products none of use need.

Football fans worked until 1 on a Saturday and then headed to a game at 3. It was a beautiful thing and the success of the sport is based on this.

They wore cloth caps and carried rattles in those days too. The world has changed somewhat. I will always take going to a live game after a few pints in a pub over sitting watching television but most would gladly skip a Saturday morning toiling in a factory.

There are no clubs in the top flight. It isn't English either!

As a West Ham fan it's great having every game on TV for the past few months but you would miss having around 6 PL games on at 3pm Saturday as it was until recently.

This is the way

It’s an absolute pain for season ticket holders but for the million of armchair fans it’s great, especially with lockdown.

My aul lad is retired and would maybe watch 10-15 matches a week.
He can’t remember any of the scores but that’s a different matter!
