I love Las Vegas, it is unapologetically tacky, gaudy and loud and doesn't pretend to be any different - unlike Dubai where everything looks like luxurious but comes across as pretentious. |

Hollywood is a right kip. The walk of fame is like a slum. But Vegas is a brilliant spot. Fremont and down by the golden nugget

LA is hit and miss. The amount of homeless people is insane. Walking Santa Monica and Venice beach is just a long line of tents. I enjoyed doing the Beverly Hills tour but Hollywood is fairly rough.
In saying that overall I liked it and would recommend it and go back. |

you're* I understand the reasons. There is still plenty worth seeing and doing here. The Burj Khalifa and Fountain shows are amazing, as is a Desert Safari. The lights at night from all the buildings is beautiful as well. Aquadventure water park is probably one of the best in the world. The amount of good restaurants from every cuisine in the world. Expo 2020 was amazing when it was on, Global village is amazing but not open during the summer due to the heat. Lots of old Souks (markets). One of the benefits of living here is the ability to fly basically anywhere so a lot of Irish base themselves here so they can travel. Unless you are going to beach clubs and so on you never really see influencers. The real bad thing is the price of alcohol in some pubs. €12+ a pint if not on happy hour. The heat is unbearable in the summer. Today it was over 40 celsius, in the winter it is perfect but in the summer unless its indoors you can't do anything. They have massive malls with plenty to do to cater to that but it's much more fun in the winter. There are very swanky hotels with pretentious people but I never really come across them. You hear stories of families with 5 kids and having a nanny for each child, a cook a driver for each child etc. Madness, mostly Emiratis but you do see Irish people hiring nannies as well. Labour is cheap. |

Mostly miss, Hollywood is an absolute kip of a place. Homeless and crime everywhere you look, place is filthy and completely run down too bar the small stretch outside of the Chinese & Kodak Theaters. Few yards down the road there was lads openly doing crack and openly sh*tting all over the place. During the night in my hotel there was a bit of ruckus outside and came out to find a corded off crime scene, some lad had been stabbed to death! Load of seedy sex shops, adult theaters and strip clubs about too that attracted all sorts. Like Times Square in the 70s-80s. Couldn't get out of there fast enough, 24hrs was enough to see everything anyway. Driving around the Hills and down to Santa Monica and Venice Beach following few days was nice though. Had no hassle there. Absolutely no desire to go back though but I still would recommend it too, its just one those places you have to see and experience for yourself. |

Has some cracking spots. South coast etc. Norfolk area is lovely too. Haven’t been to Kent, Cambridge etc but hear they are well worth a visit. Places like Coventry and Grimsby should be avoided. Grim.

UK has decent spots but has a lot of grim places too. The East & West Midlands are an absolute f**king dump.
