A big thank you to Fergus O'Dowd & all the people involved in the presentation tonight from the two lads that ye left mooch in with ye , it was a brilliant experience to be on the pitch for the presentation.
A further big thanks to Joe , the sculptor , - a lovely man with a great fund of stories especially about Ben Hannigan.
Thanks again from the 2 lads from Waterford & Offaly.

Today's Irish News.
Was in the Barcelona museum/stadium tour last week.

Could only find one fleeting reference to PO'C (and I was looking out for him), his name in the list of trainers. The tour to America got a mention in passing, though it didn't mention its significance financially. Rather they concentrated on the trouble they were having with Franco etc, and the fact that several players never came back.

On the other hand, there were numerous opportunities to pay to have my photograph taken with a photo of Messi etc, so it wasn't all bad....

P.S. Couldn't get your link to work

Take two.

Tony Denton's painting of Patrick is in the boardroom at Camp Nou.

The film people interviewed Carles Santacanna FCB historian in April and he went through records in the development/research dept. at Camp Nou with them.
Some amazing details which will come out in film.

...also you have to realise Mussolini bombed Barcelona & hit the FCB clubhouse in 1938 - O'Connell & Calvet were literally down on hands & knees trying to save as much as they could through the wreckage in the following days.
