I'd like to see the defence much improved. We were solid and now we concede way too many goals.  That's on Kenny and his staff.

I think we need someone with a bit of presence and respect in the game.  Kenny and Kerr didn't have it. A more inspirational type of character. You are naturally going to believe in the message more if it comes out of the mouth of someone you know has been there and done it.

As Horsebox says we need someone a bit more clued in tactically.  Someone to spot problems early and make the necessary adjustments and not sit there waiting for the plan to come right when its not working.  Too often Kenny has not been proactive in this respect and when he does make subs they can be baffling.

That being said we will struggle to score goals due to the poor options up front and in midfield. We need to find a couple of granny rule players who have a bit of quality.

2 wins from the last 3 games, in the results business. Conclusion: Sack the Manager.

Only in Ireland.

We barely got wins against Armenia at home and Malta away.  Two of the worst sides in Uefa,  Woop de doo!  We should be beating these sides convincingly.  We onyl beat Malta because some lad gifted us a goal. Nothing to do with out own creative play.

We won them. The rankings and the win percentages don't care whether you win convincingly or not. The last time we won convincingly in Malta was in 1989. We don't have the same quality available now, but we still had to go out there at this time of year and win, which we did.

We have now won 2 of the last 3. There should be no debate over the manager's position at this time. There was a time not long ago when we were losing 5-1 in playoffs at home, and where we struggled to win any game at all.

We have eyes.  We can see the performances were crap just like Gibralter away under Mick. There was no good football played.

We have eyes. The win rate is now 66% over the last 3 games. And 7 points won in the NL group. In a results business, that's what counts. Recently we once went 3 years without winning at home.

You're rarely if ever going to get good results and good performances at the same time out of this team, especially with the quality we have, regardless who is in charge. So after 2 wins in the last 3, that counts as progress so we stick with what we have.

Its nothing to do with Kenny, Ireland or the performances. It's solely down to the posters fan girl obsession with Kelleher & Liverpool. If Bazunu was in nets, he'd be critical of the performance.

Declaring a win rate of 66%...by only including the last 3 games...I think that's called creative accounting.

Playoffs... remember when we had managers who got us to playoffs. We used to be the UEFA playoff specialists, we had played in the playoffs more than any other team - and won a few of them as well. Now 45% of the support evidently think we should just be thankful to scrape wins against Armenia and Malta. As long as we forget the game against Armenia that we lost.

If we're not allowed to forget the game in Armenia or even against Luxembourg at home because it's a results business, then you won't be allowed to forget the wins against them either, as it's still a results business.

I said before I don't expect us to win any game these days, let alone convincingly. Almost every player we have is stuck in a pub league trying to compete against world class footballers in almost every opponent, even the 5th seeds these days. So demanding we either qualify or change yet another manager is a self destructive policy that hasn't worked over the past 20 years. We need to realise where we stand in the pecking order these days and unfortunately not enough do.

It is a results business and Kenny's record is appalling.

Will people stop bringing up Hughton. His heart wouldn't be in it. Any time he's asked about it, he couldn't sound less enthusiastic. We all know he'd look at it as a route back into a club job in England.

Don't see why Hughton has been written off by so many fans on here. Decent managerial track record so far.
I mean, he's no Jim Goodwin I suppose or has never taken Dunfermline to a scottish cup final, but I don't see whats so wrong with him

Mad that people are so quick to write of the likes of Hughton or Big Sam as dinosaurs.
I'd not advocating either as Ireland manager by the way but people tend to overlook that Big Sam was one of the first PL managers to start using stats to inform how his teams played.
