You a have a so-so right full who just does a lot of passing back and sideways.

Game winning assist and clean sheet.

I hope he does well at Spurs, I like him, he comes across as very well spoken and intelligent. His every second word isn't "obviously" and a bunch of other clichΓ©s.

Come off it. I'm a Spurs fan and obviously an Irish fan, so of course I want Matt do well, but he's been a shadow of the player he was at Wolves. Gets an assist and clean sheet against West Brom. Brilliant, but where you even watch the game or Matt since he joined Spurs?

Yes I have watched him and the game. Clearly he isn't getting forward as much as before but no harm for him to get an education in the defensive side of things, playing at RB rather than RWB, from one of the best coaches in the world. Certainly seeing as we aren't moving to the 5 at the back, this is good for us.

He signed on the last day of August, so missed Spurs' pre-season.

Since when he's played 6 x PL games (W4 D1 L1), 4 x EL games and 5 x internationals - all squeezed into two months.

All this came straight after a season where he played 52 games, the last of them on 11 August.

Tbh, with a schedule like that, it's a wonder he's able to perform any kind of a way.

Come back when he's played 26 PL games, ideally with a couple of days off somewhere in between.

Granted he has not been the attacking threat he was at Wolves but he will be playing the role/system his manager wants him to play.
The fact that he plays every 2nd game shows Jose is happy with his performances. Jose would have no problem dropping an underperforming player from the squad or somebody who is leaking goals.

He is doing okay in a back 4 which he needs to get used to.

Will Gerry Peyton cover him in the right back position?

Will Gerry Peyton cover him in the right back position?

No as he is 65 and is a former GK and a goalkeeping coach.  Doubt he will be fit enough.

Thinking that Doherty would be there today ffs πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

LOL  Good man trap.  Trying to distract from the the fact you felt a lad with Covid last week could be in the Spurs squad today.   Unbelievable stuff.

Thought he was suspended.

Now that Ray Clemence has passed would Gerry Peyton be offered a role at the Spurs?

Sorry he and mcclean missed the Ireland game due to covid. Common knowledge for any Ireland fan and esp someone who has lived in the covid thread for the last 9 months.

Doherty did not have covid.  He left because Kenny refused to offer Gerry Peyton the role as GK coach
