I think he will come back for Mick

Just out of curiosity, If the reports are true that he didn't bother responding to O'Neill's call up for 4/5 days, do you think the player is/was somewhat in the wrong here rather than it just being down to who is in charge?

It just seems on here every 'will he/won't he play' arsehole that leaves us on tinder hooks avoids blame because the manager in charge (like Trap before him) isn't popular anymore with the fans or is on a downward spiral.

There is always spin from both sides.
O'Neill treated him badly by all accounts.  It may have got personal.
Door seems to be open for a return.

Regardless of his status I don't think he is worthy of a call up at the moment. Reading are absolutely dung.

20 appearances this season, 17 of those starts, and 1 goal are his stats for this season. It hasn't been great, but in mitigation he was playing under The Ultimate Spoofer, Paul Clement.

Hard to know exactly what went on with MON and himself.. Mon had a very poor record when dealing with some of his players..I think Liam Kelly would be a great addition to our squad..tidy passer and very comfortable in possession.. something we could do with.

Agreed. Definitely worth a shot if he's interested in declaring.

Mick should clarify if he is committed to us. Don't wait until his form picks up. But as for selection that should be based on form. We're not exactly overstocked with players so he couldn't be far off the standard required.

Sky Sports are reporting that Udinese are trying to sign Kelly on loan. Be interesting to see how he gets on in more technical league.

Meyler expected to leave too.

The Udinese link is surprising given that the new Reading manager is supposed to have told him he was not needed.

Is Kelly still eligible to play for Ireland or did he do the paperwork to declare for England instead?

If he plays well he deserves to be asked the question at least, given O'Neill's atrocious record in terms of dealing with eligible players, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
We're decent enough..

Agree with this. Especially after Obafemi it's hard to take what Martin O Neill says at face value. Would have liked to hear from Kelly on his side of what happened
And it's come through now to mackay... and it's there
