Ronan might be - IF he starts playing football regularly at a reasonable level. Needs a move in January. Brady has played very little for Ireland over the last few campaigns. his delivery back in the day was excellent. Mc Clean has a goal (direct) and 2 assists from corners in his last 3 games for Wigan Mc Grath has a decent freekick record over the years, better than Ronan's in the same League I'd guess and Mc Grath is closer to the first team.

Tonight was another example of why we need someone who can take a set-piece in a team.
We showed no threat throughout the game in set-pieces, with, amazingly, poor Josh Cullen having corner duty foisted on him. O'Dowda was slightly better, and the less said about Robinson's free-kicks, the better. Meanwhile, we had a reminder of the importance of being able to whip a good ball in from a set-piece - with both goals we conceded coming from delicious Odegaard set-piece deliveries. Our attacking threat at set-pieces seems significantly diminished, and a failure to prioritise a proper taker would seem to be part of that. Also, Mr Barry's unfortunate departure may be more and more obvious - both attacking set-pieces and defending them.

Starting in friendly this afternoon vs Empoli.
Ruben Neves and Matheus Nunes are missing as still with Portugal but good chance for him to impress the new boss.

Starting again vs Cadiz this morning.
This time in what looks like a 343 (last game 433) with Joao Moutinho (shortest midfield ever lol) interestingly starting ahead of Boubacar Traore who is on the bench. Might be a fitness decision or maybe he's impressing the boss already!

Wow he must have impressed the new manager. That's a very experienced team with the exceptions of Hodge and Bueno.

Very expensive Matheus Nunes on the bench too; I guess there is a fitness concern but great opportunity for Joe.

Ya, basically a free header. Heading probably wouldn't be his strongest ability TBF. He had two shots too but they were blocked. He is playing alright tho, always showing and calling for the ball. He was involved in some smart 1,2s in the box that have lead to chances.

Hopefully done enough to earn himself some more minutes this season. Ideally I'd like to see him go out on loan though but that will probably only happen if Wolves sign a midfielder or two.

Seems harsh on the face of it. But he played well and Lopetegui was clearly treating it as like a pre season game. He changed formation several times and think he wanted to give minutes to everyone likely to be involved in the 2nd half of the season. Lopetegui has talked him up a few times so clearly rates him I'd have hope he will get minutes in the 2nd half of the season.

He’s doing fine having a breakthrough season getting regular minutes! Will be on the bench mostly but a big vote of confidence to the kid to put him in ahead of Traore another talented young player! Moutinho is 36 won’t be able to play every minute that should see him get minutes by default!
Change tonight was tactical. He rang in 2 more changes by the 60th minute wasn’t just a case of hook the young lad to be seen to be doing something! Lopetugui is a very good coach knows what he’s doing! As regards Wolves chances of staying up Jimenez coming back into the fold will be a big help! Costa really not doing it so far!

This. Should have been given a game. Even if he was only eligible for Ireland I would say that. Kenny was conservative and minding his job. The fact that he is eligible for another country means he definitely should have been capped.

I think the guy may well have refused a cap tie & wants to wait & see & the situation is being managed. If he's playing any bit regularly between now & Latvia and still isn't selected, that's 100% what's going on.
