Always thought it was a waste when Mick played him up front. He would always drift out on to the left wing and leave Robbie as lone striker. Never worked, from what I remember.

This was down to Mick's unwillingness to leave out the hardworking but very limited Kilbane, as well as a paucity of quality forward options. That said, his direct running with the ball in central areas seemed to work well at the World Cup.

2002 WC Unbelievable

2003 played well against Russia I think and can't remember him much but played ok if I remember.

2005-2007  I cant remember him much at all. Was he injured?

2008-2011  Apart form 2002 WC I think these were his best years

Can't remember, can't remember. As proven elsewhere, you have a very selective memory.

James McClean has stepped in to fund hampers for people struggling with the Covid-19 crisis in Derry.

McClean frequently steps in to help good causes in his native city and appears again to have stepped up to the mark by funding nappies, medicines, toilet rolls, baby supplies and cleaning products to be distributed by Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership.

The goods are being packed in hampers and given out to local people.

A nice touch, as always, from McClean. He probably wouldn’t do his reputation any harm if he did something similar in Stoke though.
Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

Going behind the headlines he has generated for matters other than football , such as his political beliefs , he is a very genuine guy who is generous to a fault and would never forget where he came from. They love him in Derry and deservedly so . He is also a consummate professional when it comes to football and he is every manager's dream in terms of fitness and attitude. We will need his drive and energy for the play-offs , if they ever happen, and beyond. Hope he recovers quickly from his recent injury .

Class act from the lads to be fair, really good to see.

Mcclean seems to be involved in things like this on a regular basis. Plays with a lot of heart and seems to live his life like that too.

SFA? Be careful or you'll start sounding like Tony and that this pandemic is in fact a masonic hun basta conspiracy involving the courts, Mike Ashley, the referees, the queen and Donny Osmond.
