"I said on my first day as Scotland manager that it was the proudest moment of my career and that I wanted to put a smile back on the nation's face again," Strachan said.

He just didn't mention that that nation would be Ireland. LOL

I'd say Moyes and Lambert would be the main contenders

Steve Clarke at 20/1 not a bad shout either

Gordon Strachan has resigned from his role in international football. A loyal servant to the Republic of Ireland, he was Instrumental in guiding the Irishmen to two major championship playoffs, putting him in the company of greats such as Charlton, McCarthy and Trappatoni.

News of his resignation has been met with glowing tributes from the Walls of Derry to the Lakes of Killarney.

"When we were backed into a corner and needed to come out fighting, we could always rely on Strachan" remarked one loyal follower of the boys in green.

"Just when you thought all your efforts had been in vain, Gordon would come through for us without fail", lauded another fan from Galway.

Farewell Gordon, you'll be missed 😥

in what way? Done a good job with aberdeen with no real star players. Has kept them as competetive as they could be in scotland. Im no expert on him but he seems decent.
