Trains are relatively cheap at the moment it seems. I have been down to London from Manchester twice in last 8 weeks and paid £38 return.

From a tickets perspective, let's hope Scotland dont qualify for the Workd Cup in the playoffs. If they do, this fixture would be most meaningful game ahead of the WC and make tickets harder to come by for us.

It'll take just as long with a f**k load more hassle.

Took the train to Edinburgh on Tuesday from London. Whipped out champagne football, a few chapters later I was pulling into Edinburgh Waverley. It's such a doddle turning up 10 mins before departure compared to flying.

Know what your saying - I got the train from mainz to Berlin as there was not much difference re flying but a 49 min jaunt out to Gatwick pint before flight and get to Glasgow airport for 1940 might swing it
