Not sure where it was made but it used to be a cheap option in Belfast if you wanted to swill beer all day and get rat-arsed.

Re discussions above, Pabst Blue Ribbon used to be available in off-licences at least in Belfast in the 80s. An unexceptional American beer. Film buffs will recall that it was the favoured beverage of the psycho character played by Dennis Hopper in ‘Blue Velvet.’ You can still get draught Bass in Belfast though it is much rarer than it was when it had a brewery in Belfast. I haven’t seen it in bottles for a long time though I think cans are still available. A bland red ale not be confused with the English draught Bass which was a good quality real ale.
