I believe a few of his videos were referenced here recently. Like something from the hardy bucks.

I know personally of a man and woman in two different cases who were left with life-changing injuries. Not sure either made a mainstream newspaper or website - not even a blurb. So that's two I'm intimately aware of swept under the rug. Maybe I'm an outlier. It's possible.

To be fair, I don't think anyone thinks of them as a reputable media organization.

If its not a death, its rarely reported on these days unless it gets some sort of special attention like tourists being assaulted. |

RTÉ studio director jailed for possession of child pornography. Thankfully we didn't get that judge for this case otherwise the paltry year he got would have been suspended.

If a man is beaten up in a barfight - not gonna be on RTE SixOne If a man is killed in a barfight - gonna be on RTE SixOne If a man is killed in a barfight and not on RTE news - then it's swept under a rug

Maybe someone repeatedly having his head jumped on while trying to prevent an attack on a woman by someone who entered the country illegally is not a matter of public interest or newsworthy. Same with a woman being attacked in her front garden by a deranged man, again not in the country legally, and without any documentation to the point where Gardai couldn't identify his real name or place of origin.
These aren't cases of mutual combat you get outside a random pub or nightclub on a Friday or Saturday and a few cuts and bruises. Both cases resulted in life-changing injuries, were unprovoked, and were completely random. There is definitely a lack of appetite in the media to report on these things meticulously (or at all) due to the cultural climate and anger over what happened to Ashling Murphy, the children in Parnell Street, and Yousef Palani (all of which were obviously far too extreme not to report on). Also see Gardai taken to court over Nkencho case. Contrast this with the vigour in which all Irish media used to report on crimes of similar, or slightly lesser magnitude, within the traveller community in the 90s and early 00s. There are definitely things that are outside their purview now due to lobbying, editorial decisions, cultural climate, disillusion in lower stratas of society.

Gardaí have arrested a man after an apparent attempt to abduct a 2-year-old child in Dublin city this afternoon. There are reports of another incident where a weirdo walked into someone's house on that same road 2 days ago and stared at a young girl but I don't see that in the media so can't link. Reports are from residents on sheriff street.

Like I mentioned previously, there have been two stabbings and sexual assaults in Tralee in the last couple of years. Both victims attacked in their home, stabbed with scissors and sexually assaulted. One of them was headline news, the other hasn't gotten any coverage on RTE, you can guess which criminal is Irish On this week's incident, especially given the coverage of the situation with the tents in Dublin, I would have expected some mention of it in the news

Woman (80s) seriously injured after being attacked with a hatchet according to their local radio.
RTE reporting another 2 women are being treated for injuries. This is seperate to the other incident in Dundalk. Bad two days for the town.
