bitter culchies strike again.
Were told we need to share the hill on all ireland final day because its not our home ground and then on the same hand, when the CCCC fix games at a venue a full year in advance (not knowing the dubs are involved) we are told its not a neutral venue. We can't win. Let's play at parnell, look after our season ticket and pass holders and let's hear them complain when they can't get tickets. Or better yet, let's build our own ground and look after ourselves. Sure we've paid for croker multiple times over. |

It's ridiculous. It's always been one home, one away and one croke park. If any of the other counties decided they wanted croke park as their home game because of the amount of support then you wouldn't hear GAA or Dublin complaining.
They've known the rules for ages. And if anything it should be home game which would be the one to contest rather than the game against them at croker which is part of the croker weekend. Of course it's going to be packed with a lot more Dubs but these are the rules everyone signed up to. Maybe think about it for next year, maybe becaus croker is the default home of dublin then give the opposition the choice to move it to Clones or Cork or somethin if they prefer to make it a more neutral ground. Great point above about how at other times it's suits people to say it's neutral and to share the Hill!

The hilarious thing is not only did the Donegal delegates vote for this format at congress, one of them actually stood up to speak and support it !
Any truth in the rumour that Donegal have made an approach to the GAA Central Council to ask that if it turns out that Donegal and Dublin meet again in the final, the game be moved to Mullingar ? Edited by Borussia - 04 Jul 2018 at 9:48am |

It is a mad situation but not Dublin's fault when it's been known for so long. Don't think the Dubs or the supporters would care if the game did happen to be fixed for Clones though

Clones wouldn't be neutral using the logic certain people are using given the amount of times Donegal have played there in recent years. Semple or the Stade De Frank would be neutral though

Theres no neutral venue game. It's one Croker ,one home and one away.
Delegates at congress voted for this so no point crying foul now.Everyone knew then what they were voting on. |

Highlights yet another issue with the Super 8's.
The whole point of playing a game at Croke Park is ludicrous. It should be home or away. So f**king what if a county only got one home game. Provincial champions should have extra home games as an incentive. No more than 30'000 people will enter Croke Park on the 15th July. God knows what the peak crowd will end up being. |
