Just back home now. Not my most enjoyable but because of the robbery my wife had. Also thought the lads jumping on vans etc was very stupid. Noy sure why they do it. Made us look like fools. Social media and probably drugs will do that though. Glad to be back in the safety of Dublin. Looking forward to playing Holland now and will certainly avoid Irish fans in Amsterdam until the match

I'd echo the positive Paris vibes. Great trip, result aside of course. Stayed around the Porte de Versailles - lovely peaceful area, lots of cracking restaurants, and within walking distance of the stadium. Not big into the main thoroughfare side of things but ventured to Corcorans for an hour before the game to see if there was much of a buzz. Was met by a few young fellas getting photos with the French police - bit cringy but all in good spirits and the police seemed to enjoy it. No trouble visible from my time there. Our seats were to the left of the upper tier right next to the big draping net that segregated fans. View was a bit obscured by it so we relocated when it was clear there would be a lot of empty seats. I'll skip over the match bit. Couple of French fans approached us after the game - again all in good spirits, nothing untoward. They did suggest we get behind the rugby team, however.

Most definitely drugs involved with a good few. Same heads pop up on these videos from away trips time after time and the dog on the street can see the eyes popping out of their head.

Third time in Paris and just not a fan of the place. I think it's vastly overrated.

One thing that did annoy me was the metro station on the way back only having one ticket machine in use and a massive crowd trying to use that one machine in a sweltering station. I just don't know why they can't just open the gates and have free travel for a period after the game so people can get back into the city. This is not just a Parisian issue but it should be commonplace with sporting events.

Yeah - Add €2 to the ticket price and it allows you free travel.

Unexpectedly great trip. Agree Parisians were generally friendly throughout. Good buzz everywhere.

Think the lads climbing all over moving vans with their tops off need to be fired into the sun.

Had a great time myself. Great to catch up with the old friends.

Enjoyed the psrc des princes for a change.

Weather was criminally warm.

Didn't stray far from boulevard clichy other than a few beers before the game. Can be pricey at times but no worse than temple bar say.

Terrific sing song in corcorans yesterday afternoon.
My destination inchicore my next stop being kilmainham

Great time, people were lovely, some great food and never felt ripped off. 4 Euro a glass of wine in Corcorans, deadly. Football, well, let's not get into that.

Have to agree - thoroughly enjoyed the  trip and seen some friends old and new including yourself AM

Parc de princes much better than stade de France

Pricey but enjoyable football aside

Weather was cracking

Agreed.
