Its a joke. Makes a mockery of developing our own coaches. Jobs for the boys

Who's to say an ordinary chap from Longford, Carlow or Galway who's doing his B licence or A licence isn't a better coach than Robbie Keane?

Fast tracking him shows how much they care........

It's a f**king joke

Just wondering am I better off doing the IFA Uefa B licence over the FAI one lads?

I'm at the stage where I know myself I need to progress so I'm definitely ready to take it.

If you've started with the FAI you may as well keep going. Prices work out pretty much the same. Lads from Canada and the States that I know have all gone back and done it with the IFA as they're sometimes easier to get on. Save yourself the hassle of having to get vetted up North though and stick with the FAI.

Im looking at doing mine in Scotland as they've a well renowned goalkeeping pathway. Few lads were telling me they've had a bit of trouble jumping between associations

There are four places left on the Youth Cert being run in December over a 4 day weekend.
I was told in the Summer to do the YC before the C licence comes in as mandatory in 2017 as I believe you will have to then do:
Workshops=Youth Cert= C Licence=B Licence=A Licence.
if YC has been done before 2017 then a conversion one day course (i think) has to be completed for the C Licence. Open to correction on this though.

Does anyone on here know anything about Global Premier Soccer?

Just got an email the other day and I've been selected for an interview.

They have a link to Bayern Munich.

AFAIK John Devine heads up their operation in California.

Correct

Yeah I noticed the Bayern Munich link when I first applied, which is pretty huge.

So do you both reckon I should go ahead and do whatever I can to try and get accepted?

Is that ex Cork City player John Devine btw?

No, John Devine is the ex-Arsenal and Ireland full back.

Former husband of ex-Miss Ireland Michelle Rocca.

As a coach he worked with United as their Ireland scout through Shelbourne.

More recently worked for the SDFL.

Applied to USIT, YESsoccer and Global premier soccer. Have interviews this month for all 3 but will more than likely have to pick USIT (providing I pass their exam) as am with a club until May and the other two seem to start in March/April

Havent heard of too many going yet BSM. Know a few plan to alright but majority still as are. Don't know what's going to happen the SFA Cups, DDSL going summer next year so that'll mean some sort of change I presume
