Gilsenan showing enough in cups to show he is not far off players he competing with, think best he stick around because I think he can force himself into team this season.

Don't see Newcastle or Blackburn letting Gilsenan or Murphy out on loan until January.

Gilsenan in the pecking order is likely next in line if someone drops out of the match day squad. Given Blackburns small squad and policy of given youth a chance he could pick up game time. If he doesn't they'll likely organise something in January.

Newcastle I think will want to keep him around to train with the seniors for awhile and they've got the U19s UEFA League. Think they'll want to impress in that to attract more young talent to the club.

Unfortunately for Abankwah he'll have to bide his time sitting on the bench. Doubt Udinese will loan him out as they'll have to replace him if they do.

Not sure on the Gilsenan call, maybe he was that before Moran was signed but surely now Moran pushes him further down the pecking order.

Wouldn't necessarily say so. Did mention it myself when Moran signed but Gilsenan can play left, right, and central. They'll have 9 on the bench with mostly attacking players.

Bloxham was actually on the bench ahead of Gilsenan at the weekend against Watford. So even with Moran on the bench they still had two wingers in Markanday who started last night and Bloxham. Think Gilsenan will get some minutes if he works hard and if not will likely get his loan in January.

At this stage it's probably best to wait because if he leaves now and doesn't work out he'll have already played for two teams so can't go back out on loan to another team. This late in the window teams might be looking to pad out squads mostly. Stay half a season at Blackburn and then see what opportunities are there come January.

Not a good start to the season for Charlton. Won their opening game but are on a five game losing run since that opening day win.

Is the transfer window closing tonight or tomorrow?

Not the same anymore.  Peaked around 2014.  Jim White, NAtalie Sawyer, dildos live on air etc.. Some poor bastard stranded between clubs only to find his deal collapsed and now he has to go back cap in hand to his club.

The hype!

Looking at who has been playing in defence for Charlton like Lawal Abankwah will likely slot straight into the team if he goes there. Charlton off to a bad start but could still easily do well long way to go for them. Would be a good move if it goes through.

The dildos were the beginning of the end sadly, once that happened they stopped fans from congregating around the reporters and the whole thing just fell flat as a TV event.

Although the idea of hundreds of fans gathering outside a stadium late at night in the pissing rain waiting to find out whether their club had signed some lad on loan from Galatasaray or wherever was a bit mental anyway.

Closing tonight at 11. It peaked with Peter Odemwingie being refused entry to Loftus Road as they had made no offer to WBA for him.

Hendrick, Coventry, Murphy, Abankwah, Gilsenan, Vata, Furlong, Kilkenny and Watson could all do with moves. And obviously Kelleher, but that's not going to happen.

For those who'll be more than likely getting a loan move, they've another week or 2 after the transfer window closes. Hendrick and Coventry could do with a permanent deal but in Hendrick's case, I wouldn't begrudge him seeing out the last year of a big contract.

There's no equivalence between their situation and Hendrick's. Jeff has never sat on his hole just taking the money, not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that, but Jeff has always looked to play in order to protect his international career. The other two guys havent.

Abankwah and Watson both linked with Charlton overnight. Maybe they've been tapping up the forum for last minute transfer ideas!

Dont know the exact stats but feels like one of the busiest and most interesting transfer windows regarding players from The EIRE.
