And as for featuring on porn sites, whats the relevance here? Users can upload what they like on there e.g. Newspapers found clips of Megan Markle from episodes of Suits on there when somebody went looking.

For example, I could upload some of Madonna's videos from the 90s on there - Would the Mirror then have an article about that do you think?

The Russia story was brushed off by everyone as a non-story.
Fundamental point here is artist takes part in art - Not anything else so references to representing the country doesn't change that.

I personally think there is a line between art and a "lighting candle sticking out of the performer's bottom" and appearing on multiple porn sites.

So we should not allow things based on whether you think it’s ok or not Ger.  You know we have laws for that purpose so that it doesn’t come down to individuals controlling other people’s personnel behaviour or not.  We threw off the shackles of a repressive regime here under the Catholic Church and there seems to be a group of people out there who want to bring us back to those dark days by naming and shaming people for their sexual behaviour.  Again if it’s legal and consensual it’s none of our business even if they are performing at the Eurovision which is a massive festival of the queer and outlandish anyway and has been now for years.

I know it’s like people wanting to fight the cultural battles of the 80s again but this time having a go at trangender and gender fluid people.  Many of these people were quiet when it comes to the hugely mysoginistic  hip hop videos of the 90s.  Remember when Gett Off video came out and there were clowns giving out.  Shower of Mary Whitehouses.

Context - TV shows and films are age rated and have watersheds. 
The Eurovision is about representing and being a face for the country.  
There is absolutely no comparison to be made in my opinion. 

No problem with performance art but there is a line.
Eating cake from between your legs by poking your fingers through the cake at the vagina region, rubbing it on breasts and having a candle sticking out of your bum is beyond that line.
