I know it’s like people wanting to fight the cultural battles of the 80s again but this time having a go at trangender and gender fluid people. Many of these people were quiet when it comes to the hugely mysoginistic hip hop videos of the 90s. Remember when Gett Off video came out and there were clowns giving out. Shower of Mary Whitehouses.

Not really answering my question though. Would you have an issue with the James Nesbitt example I mentioned above? Should he be taken off our screens also?

If you don't think that's an issue, good for you.

James Nesbitt stuck a rose in his arse in the first series of Cold Feet. I don't see the pent up outrage over that. Whats the issue with cake and covering yourself in it in a music video - It's art. And as for featuring on porn sites, whats the relevance here? Users can upload what they like on there e.g. Newspapers found clips of Megan Markle from episodes of Suits on there when somebody went looking. |
Big difference between TV shows with age consent and watersheds than our national broadcaster sending someone to represent the country on the European stage.
|
You do understand that they aren't going to do all this on the Eurovision, right?
|
Nice and condescending as per usual.
Yes, of course I know that. Buy they are representing the country and the state broadcaster. Featuring on porn sites with that behaviour is not a good look IMO. There is a reason why Ireland is considering clamping down on porn. And at the same time we have this.
|
Am not deliberately trying to be condescending. But again I'll point out that somebody uploaded their music video to a site. They did not star in a porn film. |
Article states that it appeared on a number of porn sites. Bambi Thug declined to comment.
|
Yes, I don't think those facts are in doubt. As pointed out by not just me, anybody can upload videos to porn sites. For example, I could upload some of Madonna's videos from the 90s on there - Would the Mirror then have an article about that do you think? |
But Madonna is not representing the country.
Even Russia faced questions over something similar in 2016
|
The Russia story was brushed off by everyone as a non-story. Fundamental point here is artist takes part in art - Not anything else so references to representing the country doesn't change that. |
I personally think there is a line between art and a "lighting candle sticking out of the performer's bottom" and appearing on multiple porn sites.
But, as I said each to their own.

Yeah I don’t really see the issue here either to be honest. It’s a music video - someone just uploaded it to a porn site. I’m sure there are plenty other fairly explicit music videos have that have also been uploaded to porn sites by third parties. Storm in a tea cup really but I’m sure the article will attract a lot of commentary so job done in that respect.
