Unfortunately soccer in this country has never been funded by government funds adequately and the FAI have had to look into all revenue streams available. Having a sponsor on fans kits is one of the consequences. I don't think it's pure greed rather smart business if they can get away with it. OK in the past they used it to line their pockets too much rather than spending the money properly. But still there is a revenue hole that needs to be filled if we want to grow the game. I think they could/should sell a player's Jersey without sponsor for a higher price so those that would like a sponsorless one can still get it.

Couldn't disagree more....Jerseys look far better without sponsors. My favourite harps one had the sponsor very small under the badge and it worked well

Will be going straight to a useful supplier based in the Far East to get a replica. Not paying the extortionate prices for an Irish Jersey with Sky on it.

Other countries have their sponsor on the training or media gear, if they did that it would be more acceptable than on the jersey.

Both the men's and the women's jerseys last year were available without a sponsor. It's possible they'd have that option again this year but I won't hold my breath

That's because we didn't have a sponsor. Our last 3 kits have been without one, nobody wants it

The new sponsor doesn't bother me too much but I much prefer the first Castore jerseys.

How long do deliveries take from the FAI store? Ordered the third kit 6 days ago and not here yet. The tracking number they gave there is nothing coming up under it.

Use omni track The tracking with the email is awful. Just pop in your order number FAI.... whatever the numbers are. Generally from what I've ordered it's about a week

I dont get why O'Neills wont make their retro kits exactly like the original. They all look like cheap Penneys knock offs. This is what it should look like... Edited by Bandwagon - 20 Mar 2024 at 4:33pm |
