500k per year. Built in bonus for qualifying. Bruce has a fine gaff in the west mids. Hence, his preference for local sides there. He won't travel far afield anymore. Intl ball would suit him. Has irish connection. A geordie. Wilder would be more difficult to get. Hughton, may be reluctant to take it given how weak we are. Lennon. Wouldnt fancy him. Roy. No. Tactically inept. Robbie. No. Duff. Has done OK with she's. Has something about him. Duff with Woy Hodgson is a shout?

Wilder is just off the back of a failure with Boro and is probably looking at a long term rebuilding job at a lowe championship club as his next job. We aren't an unattractive proposition for him to quickly restore his reputation.

whoever it is should be told to continue with keeping the ball on the deck , its not exclusive to Kenny,
a bit of up and under action occasionally to mix it up.

Wouldn't let Duff near the job. Also that set up reminds me of Stan/Robson. Would prefer to just have Woy.

You'd want a manager to be able to organise the players, who has a plan A and a plan B and who can motivate them to perform above themselves.
At the moment, none of this is happening.

Yeah we might look like an option while he waits for his next club. Most the managers getting hired in the championship now seem to be young coaches so he could be waiting awhile for someone like a Stoke to sack their manager. Big issue with Wilder is he'd likely be someone that would f**k off after six months if a club job was offered to him. |

The new manager needs to build on what Kenny started. A modern playing style but less naive than Kenny. Someone that can get results which Kenny seems incapable of doing and add in a bit of steel into the side. I'd like to see the defence much improved. We were solid and now we concede way too many goals. That's on Kenny and his staff. I think we need someone with a bit of presence and respect in the game. Kenny and Kerr didn't have it. A more inspirational type of character. You are naturally going to believe in the message more if it comes out of the mouth of someone you know has been there and done it. As Horsebox says we need someone a bit more clued in tactically. Someone to spot problems early and make the necessary adjustments and not sit there waiting for the plan to come right when its not working. Too often Kenny has not been proactive in this respect and when he does make subs they can be baffling. That being said we will struggle to score goals due to the poor options up front and in midfield. We need to find a couple of granny rule players who have a bit of quality. |

I think we need someone with a bit of presence and respect in the game. Kenny and Kerr didn't have it. Yes and I'd agree with all of your post. The manager has to have charisma and leadership. Just read a book about the American revolution against Britain, 1776. Without Washington's incredible charisma and leadership Britain would have crushed the Americans. The American troops were inept, untrained, often without shoes or weapons, and lost battle after battle, but Washington was still able to rouse them for the couple of decisive victories that changed the course of the war. He would "try something", "take an action". Kenny stands passively looking worried.

The Canadian coach had only previously managed in the women's professional game prior to taking over in 2018. Anyone who watched that game tonight could see how well set up he had his team. This opinion about stature in the game is pure nonsense

Someone without a stature would need an enormously magnetic personality to control a dressing room of alpha males. Kenny is nice. The players like him. They do not respect him. How could they. |

Someone with his lack of "standing" in the men\s game could only achieve this with a team who are starting from a low base like Canada were.
