I'm well aware thanks, as is everybody else cos you keep banging on about it........

We are speculating, his price has shortened, it's as good a reason to speculate as simply naming some foreign coach who is currently jobless.

Anyway you can get your tenner on at 7/1 if you fancy Carsley is the preferred candidate. Bruce 13/8, Lennon 5/1, 11/1 bar three.

THIS ALL MEANS NOTHING.

If he was the chose one his price would collapse and this market would be taken down right away.
This is literally nothing to indicate he is a valid candidate.

If you fancy that is true, you can get €71 on Carsley at 7/1 right now on Paddy Power (basically to win yourself a monkey - €500)

It's quite conceivable that FAI will wait until playoffs, assuming they have their eye on a manager involved in them.

Still think it's Carsley's to turn down.

Canham and Co on record as saying they want a women's manager who will work as part of their long term plan for the women's game - To me, that gives an insight into how they work and how they are about the future and not just the now. It's not unreasonable to assume that they will want a "head coach" as opposed to a manager. Somebody who will buy into the vision, possibly play a style that fits in with a more longer term play going from underage right and be engaged with the underage managers also.
If this sounds nothing like Steve Bruce, Roy Keane etc then you'd be right.

I'm not so sure that just having a better CV than Kenny is exactly the criteria we should be looking for with the next manager.

His managerial CV is streets ahead of someone like Kenny’s CV whether one likes it or not. He also has an Irish connection and was a well respected player. Might recruit a few players too. I’m not against it.

Might recruit a few players!! I don't want us going down the road of bringing in any tom dick or harry to declare for us no matter how sh1te we are. Steve Bruce isn't the answer for us i don't think.

I expect that the main factor will be budgetary.

I think Stephen Kenny's reign has been verging on abject for the most part but I believe that the budgetary constraints in place may give him a chance of a contract renewal.
