Ahh if he isn’t in the senior squad once fit and well off the form he’s shown recently our management should be shot. 

I would take a bit of encouragement he happily accepted the call up to the 21s alright. I doubt him and those representing him are idiots he was quite close to a senior call up in March as it was.

Absolutely he should be in the next squad on merit. Will Keane doesn't get in the Wigan starting team these days and they're bottom of League 1, yet he was in the last Ireland squad. So it's not like there isn't space there for Cannon to come in.

on fire at the moment, interesting that he has really hit the ground running compared to their other 2 highly rated strikers on loan (parrott and delap, latter of whom of course is eligible for us). for comparison their stats in the league;

Cannon- 15 games, 7 goals, 1 assist

parrott- 27 games, 2 goals, 0 assists

delap- 32 games, 3 goals, 0 assists (edit- delap 22 games 3 goals at stoke 1st half of season, 10 games 0 goals at preston 2nd half of season)

Think the only way he's not in the summer squad is if he's waiting for the England call. Hopefully he's in, he's very exciting.

That’s it. His profile has risen a whole heap in the last month. He may decide to wait and see what happens regarding a possible future England call up. 
Am I right in thinking that’s what happened with a young Will Keane? He played underage for us but when he showed a bit of promise, he wanted to hold out for England. Then the call didn’t come and when he slipped down the ladder then he came back to us. Or am I dreaming?

Mixing up the two Keane brothers I think. Michael played for us under 17. Jumped to England 19s and eventually did get senior caps . Will never played underage for us. Was a hotter and better know prospect than Michael so was probably never overlooked the way Michael may have been initially.

Think Cannon would switch before new u21 qualifying campaign if he was unsure, it would be his last opportunity to play age group for England.

Funny how things change. 6 months ago no one would be suggesting Ferguson and Cannon as a strike partnership as we all hoped any one of Parrott, Idah and Connolly would get some form to partner Obafemi. 
It would damage this forums' reputation
