Think himself and Parrott should be swapping roles at international level at this stage. Might be a positive thing for Parrott to get some involvement with the U21s like Connolly did.

Defo worthy of a place in the senior squad if this form keeps up. That was a lovely controlled finish today. Love that he had the composure to pick his spot and execute the finish calmly rather than blasting it as most players would

Preston manager trying to talk Keith Andrews into calling him up in the post match analysis. Andrews was very complimentary towards Cannon but didn't bite on a call-up.

In fairness, Andrews can’t really be drawn there as it’s not his decision ultimately. He is right not to be talking out of turn publicly but hopefully he is straight onto Kenny privately to push for TC’s inclusion

Relax lads, let's see the season out before demanding lads to be included. Our strikers played very well over the window and Oba barely got minutes, calm down! Having said that, Cannon is playing well and regularly. Let's see where all our options are come May!

Another one for Cannon. Brady cross and Cannon beats Jimmy Dunne to the header. Surely can't be ignored for a senior call up in June. Will Keane a sub again for Wigan and hasn't scored in months. And now another. Fourth top Irish goalscorer in the Championship despite only going there in January. Another shocker from Dunne to let him in there unfortunately.

No brainer for June call up if he can keep some semblance of this form up until then.

Why would we not play him against Gibraltar - ideal game to have coming up to get him involved?

Ridiculous he wasn't called up for Latvia. At least he's a shoo in for June now.

if we had a friendly i dont think kenny would start him, he'd be lucky to get the final 20. cant see him being involved in june but a call up should be a cert.

Would also tie him to Ireland for at least three years too am I right in saying? He'd be England's starting U21s striker if they tried getting him to switch. |

That's correct. Has to be done surely - would raise serious questions about SKs intentions if he doesn't pick him.ans cap him in June.

I'm sorry but this is absolute nonsense. Smith-Roe, Balogun both playing regularly at a higher level. The reality is they probably have around 8 strikers ahead of him currently. Great to see Cannon doing well and if he keeps this form up he'll be in the June senior squad

As in Emile Smith-Rowe and Folarin Balogun? Both are overage for the next Under 21 campaign starting this autumn. And Balogun is switching to the US anyway I think. Cannon would most likely be the main striker for England Under 21s in the next campaign. Presumably not though, as he'll be in our senior squad if we have any cop on at all.
