Should of played another CB and put Lawal in Healy's place. Fine for tonight but against decent opposition Lawal should not be a CB.
Otherwise solid line up. Edited by SC92 - 22 Mar 2024 at 4:54pm |

No surprise there, he was softening everyone up during the week when he said "many of the teams interested in signing him see him as a centre back". Crawford does not take any risks, ever.

We're decent enough..

Lineup probably as expected: Keeley; Curtis, Lawal, McNulty, Adaramola; Healy, Hodge; Vata, Moran, Springett; Armstrong.
But disappointed to see Lawal playing at the back instead of midfield.

Basically the ball is bypassing him the whole game then! |

Conor Coventry is playing very well, Charlton have changed into a long ball team, which involves a lot of tackling and closing down and great stamina is required, having to adapt from a ball playing team to what we are producing, he is doing very well.

Watched Lawal play for Fleetwood against my team Charlton on Saturday, was poor, managed to lose the ball on quite a few occasions, we know he is strong, has pace, played midfield, not impressed overall.

Not surprised though to see Vata promoted to the U21s before him. Was always more impressed with Vata at underage level. |

Zefi is a 2005 born too, he'd be young for 21s yet. The next campaign will be his chance, there's only a handful of 2005s in this squad.

Reasonably pleased with that squad. Still wouldn't have Springett or Oko-Flex in there, would have Umeh instead of one. I think Goodrham is injured, unfortunately. Expect Murphy will get his debut. Would have got it in September but he got injured. Still baffled that no friendly was arranged for this window, wasted opportunity to get a look at the 2nd & 3rd string players. My XI would probably be something like: Armstrong O'Neill Moran Hodge Vata Lawal Adaramola MacNulty O'Riordan Curtis Keeley Murphy in for MacNulty if the latter is called up to the seniors.
Yeah, Zefi this season was still playing U18s for Inter, then U19s for
Roma. Possibly injured at the moment, but no where near an U21 call up.

For the 21s? Nowhere near good enough, is only playing youth team football.
