The Dutch could of had 1 or 2 also. I wouldn't be any more confident of getting anything on Monday night if we were playing them. It's just that, based on watching that first half, can see us getting absolutely annihilated now by half time.

I wouldn't necessarily read a huge amount into this score line. In six Nations League matches last year, they scored only five goals. They are clearly a top class side and superior to us, but I'd very surprised if they ran up a cricket score against us. If they were to win, it might be only an 0-1 or 1-2 or something.

Decent result for us. Sweden don’t seem in a great place atm. They had WC qualification in there hands and messed up against Georgia wonder has that hurt them maybe. Belgium will steamroll that group so nothing major has been gained or lost. Montenegro play Hungary and Serbia at home in their next 2 games so they actually have a chance to put themselves in a decent position.

Its a home defeat for Sweden 3-0 now, thats significant plus Austria are 4-1 up on Azerbaijan. Serbia 2 up on Lithuania is no harm either,

Yes! We want the top two seeds in each group to finish 1st and 2nd. If more than 3 teams ranked below us qualify automatically then we wont get a play off spot. Thats my understanding of it anyway. Probably the ones most likely to qualify automatically of those ranked below us are Sweden, Romania, Montenegro, Albania, Georgia, Slovakia and Turkey. Good result yesterday with Slovakia only drawing at home to Luxembourg. Montenegro beat Bulgaria away earlier, bad but Sweden have been tonked at home by Belgium, good. Turkey play away to Armenia tomorrow, hopefully they drop points there as they are one of the more likely ones. |
