From a football point of view (and not a travel point of view), the main focus tomorrow would be on Pot2. If we draw France or England the group is over before we start and we'd be hoping to make a Nations League qualifier in March 2023.

Jokes aside, I'd actually probably take the Denmark/Wales/Georgia/Gibraltar group if you offered it to me now. Wales are far from the strongest team in Pot 2 and there are some real bogey draws in Pots 4/5.

Georgia are obviously in a much stronger place now though than any other time we've faced them, with a genuine top level player in Kvaratskhelia better than anything we have at our disposal

if we get either it will be straight to the who will qualify predictor game to see where we’ll be for possible playoffs.

I wouldnt want them, but at the same time I wouldnt fear them given their current state. Id actually prefer them than Serbia from Pot 2.

Disagree. They've been poor recently but they have been playing the best teams out there. They would easily beat us twice

They've played Hungary 4 times in past year, W1 D1 L2. One of them a 4-0 drubbing. Post Euro 2020 they've been awful and id be shocked if Southgate is still in a job after this World Cup.

Surely u would want Southgate in the job as he's our achilies heel.  Once we get a manager with some tactical knowhow with the talent we have we will see huge improvements

If we are to qualify I think we need be in a group with reasonably strong both 4th and 5th seeds who can take points off the 2nd and 1st needs, and for us to take a minimum of 10 points from the 4th and 5th seeds. We really need to avoid a de facto 3 team group.

I think we need a strong Pot1 team who will beat the Pot2 team home and away, leaving it a straight shout out between us and the Pot2 team for second place. And ideally some weak Pot 4 & Pot 5 teams that wouldn't be challenging for that 2nd spot and that we'd beat easily. We don't want dropped points to a Turkey/Georgia to prevent us getting 2nd ahead of a Finland/Scotland.

The draw is on Freesports for those living in England that don't have access to RTE. Channel 422 on sky.
