Very good. And who might you be? Hiding behind your profile name. At least most people on here know who I am. I've never even seen you on the forum let alone real life. |

Also Deane if you we're following this war Russia we're getting hit hard in Kherson and couldn't resupply sufficiently. With winter coming they faced a brutal defeat or a smart retreat. They have zero chance of successfully crossing the river and would never have in the first place if Ukraine had of been Better prepared and blew up the bridge in the first place. Their only chance of advance now is further east.

A missile that allegedly killed two people in Poland on Tuesday was most likely launched by Ukrainian air defense forces, Polish president, Andrzej Duda, has announced. Russia’s defense ministry previously said its analysis of photos from the site showed that the projectile was from a S-300 air defense system used by Kiev. “Most likely, a missile made by Russia in the 1970s has fallen on Polish territory. We have no evidence that it was launched by Russia,” Duda told reporters. “There is a high probability that it was a Ukrainian air defense missile,” he added. Both Russia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union in the 1970s, under the leadership of the Ukrainian-born Leonid Brezhnev. Duda said it was an “unfortunate accident” rather than a deliberate attack on Polish soil. He suggested that the missile had struck Poland when Ukrainian forces were trying to intercept Russian attacks. “Ukraine was defending itself – which is obvious and understandable – by also firing missiles whose task was to destroy Russian missiles [in mid-air],” Duda said. “Therefore, the Russian side is definitely to blame for yesterday’s incident.” |

🇵🇱🇺🇦 The head of the Lublin City Council criticizes Ukraine and calls to reconsider Poland's views on this war:
"I absolutely do not understand the actions of our President and government... It is obvious that this is a Ukrainian missile. It is obvious that this is a provocation on the part of the Ukrainian authorities. The missile could not have been launched 100 km in the opposite direction by mistake. Today, our president should not reassure us with fairy tales like "it was not so much a rocket explosion, but an explosion of fuel that was there" and "it was accident", but to make it clear to V. Zelensky that Poland will no longer tolerate such behavior of the Ukrainian authorities! I urge you to reconsider Poland's position on this war in the event of another crossing of the red line!" |

“Zelensky sits in a bunker and cannot understand why his version about a ‘Russian missile in Poland’ was dismissed even by the worst of Russophobes,” she wrote on social media on Wednesday. The president, she added, should realize that his job is “to do the dirty work and not tell bosses what they should do.” The remark came after the incident on Tuesday evening in the village of Przewodow on Poland’s border with Ukraine, in which two local residents were killed. Zelensky rushed to declare it “a Russian missile strike on [NATO] collective security” and urged Western nations to “take action.” Some sources in Poland initially claimed that two Russian missiles had caused the deaths, while the Polish Foreign Ministry referred to a single projectile, describing it as “Russian-made.” The incident in Przewodow occurred as Moscow launched a massive barrage of missiles on key energy and military infrastructure in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry denied targeting any sites in the area near the Polish village. The military later stated that images of the debris available publicly clearly identified it as a Ukrainian S-300 interceptor. NATO members appear to have arrived at the same conclusion, according to reports in Western media. The US-led bloc reportedly tracked the missile’s path from Ukraine. US President Joe Biden told the media that, judging by the trajectory, Russia was unlikely to be responsible. |

About ten million Ukrainians have been left without electricity due to a Russian missile barrage, President Vladimir Zelensky said on Wednesday. In recent weeks, Moscow has been targeting the Ukrainian power grid after Moscow accused Kiev of staging ‘sabotage’ attacks on its critical infrastructure. In a video address on Telegram, Zelensky stated that many Ukrainian cities are experiencing power outages, with Kiev, Kharkov, Zhytomyr, and Lviv Regions affected the most. “About ten million Ukrainians are without electricity,” he said. The Ukrainian President also noted internet connection and communication issues across the entire country. Moreover, due to Russian strikes several nuclear units have been automatically shut down at two nuclear power plants, Zelensky claimed, without providing any more details. “These were the calculated consequences: the enemy knew what he was doing,” he added. Zelensky also claimed that in total Russian forces had launched 90 missiles at Ukraine. On Tuesday, Kirill Timoshenko, the deputy head of the presidential administration, called the situation in the wake of the attacks “critical,” adding that most strikes targeted facilities in the center and north of the country. “The situation in the capital is extremely serious, special emergency power cut schedules are being put in place,” he said. Ukraine has been experiencing rolling power outages since Moscow launched strikes on its energy infrastructure on October 10, after accusing Kiev of targeting Russian sites, including the strategic Crimean Bridge. Earlier this month, Zelensky claimed the electricity blackouts affected more than four million Ukrainians, with residents of the capital and its suburbs bearing the brunt. According to Ukrainian authorities, the recurring Russian attacks have destroyed or damaged up to 40% of the country’s energy infrastructure. |

US President Joe Biden has cast doubt on the claim made by his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky that a missile that killed two people in a Polish village did not belong to Kiev. On Wednesday, Zelensky stated that the projectile that landed in the Polish village of Przewodow on the Poland-Ukraine border was not Ukrainian. “I have no doubt that it was not our missile or our missile strike,” he said at the time. However, speaking to reporters on Thursday, the US leader replied to this statement by saying: “That's not the evidence.” His comment comes a day after Biden said that it is “unlikely” that the missile that landed in Poland on Tuesday has been fired by Russia, adding that its trajectory did not support such a version of events. |

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky says he has granted a petition demanding that the government take action against popular opposition news website Strana.ua. The petition, which calls on the authorities to ensure the outlet is completely blocked, was submitted to the president’s website in late September, and has so far garnered more than 25,500 signatures. On Thursday, Zelensky announced that he had considered the petition and ordered the head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Aleksey Danilov, to “address the issues raised in it, take necessary measures in response and inform the author of the results.” Commenting on the petition, Zelensky accused Russia of using various forms of hybrid warfare against Ukraine, and said “the issues of protecting the domestic information space require constant attention and urgent response.” The author of the petition called Starana.ua “a pro-Russian” media outlet, which continues to “manipulate the opinions of Ukrainian viewers” despite being banned in the country. The website, which was among the most viewed online publications in Ukraine last year, was officially blocked by Zelensky’s government in August 2021, with more restrictions added this February, just over a week before the launch of Moscow’s military operation in the country. At that time, the journalists claimed that they had been persecuted due to their “alternative view” on the conflict in Donbass and Zelensky’s personal animosity towards them. However, Starana.ua continued to remain accessible in Ukraine through several mirror sites. The outlet also began to actively develop its YouTube channel, which now has more than 600,000 subscribers. Foreign journalists have also faced obstacles working in Ukraine. On Monday, Kiev removed accreditation from a group of media workers, including those from CNN and Sky News, accusing them of reporting from the recently-retaken city of Kherson without the necessary authorization from the Ukrainian military. |
