Flashscore had Ogbene starting up front as opposed to wing back. Anyone know where he played? Would be interesting to see if they change how they use him and aligned closer to us.

Championship

Kieran Westwood 6

Could do little to stop either of Huddersfield goals and barely had a save to make in the second half. First time the former Republic of Ireland international has not been on the losing side since joining last month.

Jimmy Dunne 5

Not at his best. Struggled with the pace and directness of Zorba Thomas and almost joined Barbet in the own goals column only for Sam McCallum to save his blushes with an acrobatic goal-line clearance. Stood up well at the end as Huddersfield had a flurry of corners.

Eiran Cashin 7

A strong defensive performance as he batled away up against Mitrovic, the league's top scorer.

Jason Knight 7

Grafted on and off the ball, saw the Fulham keeper hold his header early in the game.

Festy Ebosele (for Thompson, 72) 6

League 1

Luke McNally 6.5

Dominant as usual in the air as Fleetwood launched a flurry of set-pieces and throw ins. Not as comfortable when the hosts attacked on the floor. Made one crucial block from Lane.

Mark Sykes 6

Some moments of quality, including one lovely turn in the first half and his run and cross-shot after the break. Also assisted Taylor's disallowed goal. Frustrating at other times as he drifted in and out of the game.

16/4/22

Premier League

Shane Long N/R

Replaced Broja with 15 minutes left on the clock but struggled to produce anything of note.

League 1

Chiedozie Ogbene 7

A lot of things did not quite come off for him, but he was bright throughout.

Warren O'Hora 6.5

Recovered well from the terrible start Dons made, limiting Wednesday to precious little in the second half.

Conor Coventry 7

Popped up everywhere to get involved, unleashing a fierce strike which beat the keeper but not the woodwork.

Troy Parrott 7

Took his goal really well, and showed glimpses of magic.

Scottish Cup

Jake Doyle-Hayes 6

Found it difficult locating space in the first half with the midfield congestion. Came in to the game more after the break when Hibs came out fighting.

Aaron McEneff (for Halliday, 40) 5

Couldn’t get involved as much as he would have liked in an attacking capacity as the traffic was mainly going in the opposite direction.

17/4/22

Premier League

Nathan Collins 7

Made a stunning second half block and produced a composed display at the back.

Bazunu must be averaging around an 8! What a keeper.

12/4/22

League 1

Gavin Bazunu 8

Manchester City loanee Gavin Bazunu's time at Pompey is into his final three weeks, with this being one of his last performances at Fratton Park. A solid first half display, although he was not tested all that much. Did not have many saves to make, but was so influential in the second half was his passing. Was the heartbeat of the Blues' second goal, his long pass found Hirst, who blistered down the right-wing on the counter before his cross was turned in by Harness. Also created one big chance to put Hirst on goal, providing forward passes that most creative midfielders would be proud of.

Sean Raggett 7

Sean Raggett was one of three former Rotherham players in the Blues' starting side alongside Robertson and George Hirst, back on the right side on the centre-back pair, having played on the left at Cheltenham. Caught out in possession early on in a move where Raggett's bad touch led to Robertson having to foul Josh Kayode, which got him booked. An okay half defensively, he was better after the break and got a rare assist when his header of Joe Morrell's ball in led to Hirst's ninth league goal of the season. A very clever header to create Pompey's third of the night.

Marcus Harness 7

Harness will have felt he should have notched his 12th goal of the season in the first half when getting teed up by Ronan Curtis' cut-back. Instead, his goal came on the break when the Blues made it 2-0, timing his central run perfectly to latch on to George Hirst's fizzing low cross. Some good twists and turns and flicked-passes and while he took his goal well, it was a relatively quiet showing.

Ronan Curtis 6

The only member of the front four without a goal or assist was Ronan Curtis, who flicked between the centre and the left of the attacking midfield trio. Made a good chance for Harness, but it was a night where his crosses and attacking attempts just did not come off for him as he intended to.

Aiden O'Brien 5

Unable to keep his starting spot after back-to-back starts, former Sunderland and Millwall forward Aiden O'Brien was the first man to come on in three changes with less than 20 minutes to go in the tie. Did not affect the game too much.

Shaun Williams 5

Former Millwall duo Shaun Williams and Ryan Tunnicliffe found themselves out of the team in midfield, with Morrell and Thompson preferred, and deservedly so. Came on late, but was quiet.

15/4/22

Championship

Scott Hogan 5

Totally on the fringes of the games in the opening 45 although he should have gone across goal after a Jeacock ball forward ran into his path. Had a snap-volley on the hour which he scuffed wide.

Mark Travers 6

Made a good save to deny Duncan Watmore in the first half but other than a few punches clear, didn't have a lot else to do.

Aaron Connolly 5

No shortage of effort but nothing happening for him in this one. No sight at goal and little impact in possession, in contrast to his strike partner.

Sean McLoughlin 7

Solid again from the dependable Irishman, aside of one glaring error late on which he escaped from. He's become a real mainstay in the second half of this season.

Mark McGuinness 3

A howler for the first goal, selling Phillips short with his back pass. Also mis-hit his clearance leading to Hull's second. Hauled off at half- time.

Joel Bagan 4

Didn't show too much in attack and was skinned once or twice in defence. If he is to play that wing-back role he must offer more in attack and display more confidence.

Jack Taylor 6.5

Had to rein in his natural instinct to get forward with so many Posh attacking players on the pitch. He was solid without being outstanding.

Sammie Szmodics 8 (Star Man)

Amazing to see him start as the right wing-back, but he did well enough to have two scoring chances courtesy of his well-timed arrivals in the penalty area. Saw less of the ball when moved further forward, but never stopped running and working and was rewarded with a fine finish and a man of the match award from the sponsors.

Greg Cunningham 6

Played a role in Potts' early chance and the opening goal too, with positive forward passes and link-up with Johnson. Faded out of the game towards the end and had to shift into midfield, seemingly due to fatigue. Put in a shift.

Alan Browne 6

Forced off early through injury, after taking a few whacks from Millwall players. Had started with good energy and drive, with a shot from distance blocked well.

Sean Maguire 6

Shot saved from 20 yards early on and then had another chance towards the end of the first half, when he should've really passed to Archer. Had the willingness to shoot all game but couldn't get that goal and missed a glorious opportunity in the second half, after linking up with Archer. Again, he linked the play well but lacked killer instinct.

John Egan 6

Aerially did well but Reading looked to get Joao in behind. Reading striker was a real handful with his pace and power but Egan did so well in the build-up to Ndiaye's goal, remaining calm to slide in his team-mate.

Conor Hourihane 3

In a holding role with Norwood but the backline needed more protection. Reading constantly looked a threat running through the middle of the park on the counter.

Enda Stevens 4

Struggled and far from his best. Tom Ince had far too much time and space down Reading's right and was among their most dangerous players.

Jack Bonham 5

Sharp reaction to save from Weimann but should have stopped goal.

Cyrus Christie 6

A couple of glimpses where he came to life in the final third and got the assist for Olivier Ntcham's stunning equaliser. A tad wasteful in promising areas though.

Michael Obafemi 6

Made a mess of his side's best chance on the stroke of half-time and had a shot blocked late on. Got into so many promising positions but didn't have the end product.

Ryan Manning (for Latibeaudiere) 7

Made a real impact to keep Swansea on the front foot.

Dara O'Shea 5

Gave away the soft free kick in the build-up to Blackpool's equaliser and was then beaten to the header from the subsequent delivery. Grew into the game on a rare recent start.

Jayson Molumby 6

Forced the first save of the game after being teed up by Robinson to win a corner. Combined well with Reach and Robinson on the left throughout as an advanced midfield threat.

Callum Robinson 6

Most dangerous coming inside from the left and forced a smart save down low from Maxwell before half-time after being fed in by Molumby. Albion's most willing attacker to pull the trigger throughout and kept Maxwell busy before half-time. Linked well with Grant and constantly found space behind the strikers.

League 1

Mipo Odubeko 6

Broke his duck within minutes of coming off the bench, firing home from close range. Did his best to close down and harry.

Kieran Sadlier 7.5

Was booed by the home fans with his every touch of the ball but put in some decent crosses at times and scored peach of a volley to put Wanderers back in front.

Gavin Bazunu 8

The Irish international made a couple of routine saves in the first half, but was alert to make a smart stop to deny Cullen shortly after Pompey had taken the lead. Could do nothing about Lincoln's goals, but made a superb fingertip save to tip Cullen's header onto the bar as the Imps looked for a third.

Sean Raggett 8

Made a couple of important challenges early on and marshalled former Pompey striker John Marquis well, with the Lincoln forward restricted to half chances. Was good in the air too as Portsmouth defended set pieces. His shot led to the winner too as he took aim from distance, with Wright spilling his effort into the path of Curtis.

Marcus Harness 5

Was guilty of conceding possession on a few occasions. Not his best game in a Pompey shirt, but still looked to try and get involved when possible, and showed flashes of what he can do, with some tricky play down the wing.

Aiden O'Brien 6

Missed a chance in the first half when played through by Jacobs as he chipped the ball across the face of the goal. But he missed an even better opportunity in the second, shortly after Portsmouth had taken the lead. He had plenty of time and space, possibly too much, as his shot was comfortably saved by Wright in the Lincoln goal. Worked hard.

Shaun Williams (for Thompson, 71) 5

The former Millwall man added some steel and experience to the midfield.

Ronan Curtis (for O'Brien, 76) 6

Scored the winner as he took advantage of Wright spilling Raggett's shot to show composure to take the ball past the goalkeeper and tap home.

Anthony Scully 7

A typically energetic display from the Irishman. Did his bit defensively too.

Thanks for that.

Delighted to see McNally do well, was quality the few times I saw him for Drogs in the first. Good for the league if lads are getting game time there and then using it to play at a decent level in England.

Championship

Darragh Lenihan 6

Couldn’t hold off the threat of Madine as Rovers would have hoped on his return to the side, and failed to clear from the left wing set play that led to Ekpiteta’s goal. Did block six shots, including one to deny Anderson late on.

League 1

Warren O'Hora 6.5

Didn't look on the same page as Kesler-Hayden outside him, especially in the first half as the home side looked to exploit their advantage down the Dons right.

Conor Coventry 6.5

Had to play a rougher game than he has in recent weeks. His passing radar looked out of kilter.

Troy Parrott 7

Like Twine, wasn't at his best but that goal...

Luke McNally 6.5

The ball came straight off him and rebounded to Evans for the opener, although he did not know much about it. Great clearance off the line early on and fired just wide in the second half.

Mark Sykes 6.5

Denied by a good save early on and he continued in that vein. Flashed several crosses into dangerous areas, although you could argue that more needed to find a yellow shirt. Tired challenge on Matete in the build-up to the winner.

Scottish Premiership

Jake Doyle-Hayes 5

Frenetic nature of the derby didn’t afford his as much time on the ball as he likes to pick his passes. Let Kingsley get in front of him at the back post for the second Hearts goal.

Aaron McEneff (for Halliday 68) 6

Helped Hearts continue their domination.

10/4/22

Premier League

Nathan Collins 5

Part of a nervy defensive start but improved as game went on.

6/4/21

Premier League

Nathan Collins 7

Scored his first Burnley goal and came close to a second after break. One careless moment at back.

Championship

Mark Travers 6

While Travers couldn't do anything about either goal, the goalkeeper cut a frustrated figure all evening, regularly remonstrating with officials and not his usual assured self. Was also nervy with the ball at his feet at times, but did make two key saves at the end to stop the scoreline from becoming worse.

9/4/21

Premier League

Seamus Coleman 6

Marcus Rashford got a bit of joy down that flank in the first half, with Coleman's long passes down the touchline proving disappointing in setting up Everton attacks. However, things did improve after the break as the captain quite clearly gave everything for his performance.

Will Smallbone (for Livramento, 73) 5

Won the ball on a couple of occasions and looked to try and get Saints on the front foot, albeit with little hope of rescuing anything from the game.

Matt Doherty 5

Tried to play on after a crunching early challenge by Matty Cash but eventually forced off. A shame for him given his recent resurgence.

Championship

John Egan 6

Not easy up against Solanke but the fact Foderingham had little to do tells you all you need to know about who won that battle.

Enda Stevens 6

The left-hand side has looked a lot more assured with Enda's experience and quality on the ball. Produced a glorious first-time cross on the volley for McBurnie that the striker was just unable to direct goalwards.

Conor Hourihane (for Berge, 81) 5

Mark Travers 9 (Star Man)

Distribution was slightly anxious and misplaced. Yet, in regards to his actual trade - the art of stopping goals going into his net - he was flawless. An excellent left-handed save on the stroke of half time kept out the best chance of the first half before his stop when facing Morgan Gibbs-White one-against-one after the break was the standout moment. Legs akimbo, Travers somehow enlarged himself to race out of goal and narrow the angle. A save where the game was on a pivot.

Robbie Brady (for Zemura 89') N/R

Came on in the final minute to replace an injured Zemura. Not on long enough to obtain a fair rating.

Jack Taylor 7

The midfielder played with great discipline in the first-half and with great heart after the break. Very prominent after Posh went down to 10 men. Took up some very good covering positions.

Sammie Szmodics 6.5

Fluffed a couple of half-chances in the first-half against his old club which was a shame as he was bright and busy and took up some great positions in a very positive starting line-up. Substituted soon after Posh went down to 10 men.

Aaron Connolly 5

Works hard but it's not dropping for him. Service was poor but he fluffed a late headed chance. Thought he'd scored earlier too, but couldn't time his run.

Sean McLoughlin 8

Steady Eddie in the first period, just does his job with little fuss and gets on with his day.

Scott Hogan 6

Frustrated in midfield with Forest’s high-press limiting him to just a few opportunities to carve an opening.

Greg Cunningham 6

Decent shift again from a very reliable customer. Managed 70 minutes and didn't really put a foot wrong throughout. Like a few others, not the quickest start to the game but he improved.

Alan Browne 6

Will be frustrated not to have scored but got himself into the match after a poor start and upped the energy levels in his and the team's performance. Went through on goal in both halves and hit the target, but couldn't score a deserved goal. Involved in the build-up to Riis' opener.

Sean Maguire 7

Worked really well alongside Archer, setting him up for chances and having a couple of his own. Intelligent player and that showed, just couldn't quite provide that clinical instinct in a few key moments.

Jimmy Dunne 6

Fully committed as always, but was caught out in the build-up to Preston’s all-important second goal.

Joel Bagan 5

Another pretty flustered performance from the young left-back. Gave the ball away far too many times and slowed the attack down when it came to him. Looked better in the second half with Cardiff on the front foot.

Cyrus Christie 8

Got up the pitch well on numerous occasions and fizzed a shot wide in the first-half. Had so much space at times in the second-half and occupied it well.

Michael Obafemi 8

His confidence remains evident right now. Didn't quite have the final ball, although his work rate was immense throughout. Subbed late on.

Eiran Cashin 7

The young defender defended solidly yet again, as has been the case since he broke into the team.

Festy Ebosele (for Buchanan, 46) 5

Jason Knight (for Plange, 73) 6

Jayson Molumby 6

Took his chance after being brought back into the starting XI. He was eager to work, buzzed around the pitch, always sought to receive the ball. Might’ve done better with a couple of openings but his determination brought about a couple of chances, too.

Callum Robinson (for Mowatt 58) 6

Gave Albion hope with his low finish.

Jack Bonham 7

Strong wrists to stop Carroll's second half header. Out quickly when needed.

League 1

Kieran Sadlier 6

Put in a couple of decent deliveries in the first half from the left flank and another for Charles after the break. Was withdrawn from the action with some 20 minutes left.

Gavin Bazunu 8 (Star Man)

While it was an end-to-end tie in the first half, Gavin Bazunu was not properly called into action until the closing stages of the first half when producing an outstanding double save to deny Callum Wright and then Alfie May in quick succession. After the second half, he put in a man of the match performance that the rest of his abject teammates failed to match. A series of brilliant saves after the break kept Pompey in it before Sercombe notched the winner, one that Bazunu could hardly be blamed for. He will be missed badly next season.

Sean Raggett 5

Better in the second half, but Sean Raggett could hardly come out of the game saying it was one of his strongest performances of an otherwise impressive campaign. Poor in possession in the first half, his defending was okay after the break. Did waste a golden attacking chance in the first half, and failed to test the keeper when on the end of set-pieces in the second half.

Shaun Williams 6

Back for his first start since the January transfer window, former Millwall man Shaun Williams was among the quintet of players to come into the starting 11 from Tuesday's draw at Bolton. Started some good moves on the counter attack with his passing and tried to make things happen with crossess into the back. Created a big chance for Raggett near the end of the first half, only for the defender to not meet it. While some of his passing was influential, he did take one woefully bad low corner. Created one good chance for Raggett early in the second half before coming off on the hour mark.

Marcus Harness 5

Winger Marcus Harness was well off his top scorer form at Cheltenham and was taken off on the hour mark after a performance that did not have an awful lot to look back on. Goals for him and the rest of the side have been dry for a number of games now.

Ronan Curtis 6

Back in the starting line-up, Ronan Curtis' best attributes were with his pressing and his ability to win the ball back high up. Did not create an awful lot in chances, but did win a tackle high up to put O'Brien in on goal, although the Irishman could not convert. Goals in 2022 have not been all that common for him, having played the final third of the game on the right side.

Aiden O’Brien 6

Mass boos from the away supporters best summarised their frustrations of seeing Aiden O'Brien replaced. Okay in the first half, but should have done better when getting put through on goal off a tackle. Created a great chance for Walker before that and of the starting front four, looked most like scoring, without doing so.

Mipo Odubeko N/R

Replaced Griffiths for the last quarter hour and worked hard to close down the opposition. Had a good opportunity to score following a counter but his shot was blocked.

Anthony Scully 6.5

Took his goal well after sorting his feet out. Otherwise, was well shackled by the visitors.

5/4/22

Championship

Cyrus Christie 7

Made a hash of a three-on-one situation in the second-half, but, that aside, Christie was solid at right wing-back. Put in a dangerous delivery that led to Joel Piroe's winner.

Ryan Manning 7

Back from suspension, the Irishman - operating at wing-back - got into some dangerous areas but most of his best work came defensively as he made a number of interceptions and clearances.

Michael Obafemi 8

Denied by Bartosz Bialkowski in the first-half but always had the Millwall defence worried. Had numerous efforts at goal but couldn't bulge the net this time, although it was not through a lack of trying. Top shift.

Jack Taylor 6

He competed well physically, but he should have won the game late on with a close range diving header.

Sammie Szmodics 6.5 (for Kent, 75)

Gave some much needed energy to the team and popped up at both ends of the pitch effectively.

Peter Kioso 8

Played in the centre of defence and was doing a sterling job in winning his headers up against the Posh forwards, timing his jumps impressively, while also throwing himself in the way of a number of shots too in a committed display.

Greg Cunningham 7

Celebrated a tackle on Bowler in the first half and PNE needed him on the pitch tonight. Got through an hour or so and left it all out there. Was alert, determined and solid in everything he did.

Alan Browne 9

A true captain's display in the biggest game of the season. Had chances to score in both halves but lost his footing on both occasions. A performance of someone desperate to win, the skipper sure led by example.

Richard Keogh 6

Centre half was not the position you would look to if you're complaining about performances. Keogh relatively solid.

John Egan 7

Played well. Won his battle up against Lyndon Dykes, who got very little change out of the United man. Came close to scoring too when he was on the end of a ball into the box following a corner but his effort went wide.

Enda Stevens 6

Welcome return to the team. Good to get more experience into the starting line-up, particularly at this stage of the season and can be pleased with his performance.

Kieran Westwood 6

Jeered throughout by the home crowd for his Sheffield Wednesday connections, he could do little about the goal – which has been the story of his QPR career so far – after it took a deflection off Lyndon Dykes and Rob Dickie from Ollie Norwood’s shot. Had little to do otherwise.

Jimmy Dunne 6

Solid display from the Irish defender who dealt well with Ollie McBurnie after being restored to the side. Almost grabbed a late equaliser with a header from a corner that drifted wide.

Jeff Hendrick 6

Missed a good chance on the stroke of half-time to score when he just failed to get his head on a cross from Chair. Neat and tidy without really offering much going forward. Replaced by Andre Dozzell in the second half.

Jack Bonham 5

Made to pay for not keeping hold of corner for first.

League 1

Warren O'Hora 7

A pretty quiet night for the defender with Crewe barely threatening.

Conor Coventry 8

Provided his usual fare of industrious work in midfield, but thrashed home Dons' second to put them in total control just before the interval - his first goal for the club.

Troy Parrott 7.5

His excellent lob got Dons going on 24 minutes as he continues his good run of form.

Luke McNally 6

Headed the ball into a dangerous area for Morecambe's first goal and grew visibly frustrated during a rocky spell in the first half. Recovered well and threatened offensively after the break.

Mark Sykes 7.5 (Star Man)

His driving run to set up Taylor's goal was a sign of things to come. Purposeful in possession, he looked dangerous all evening and should have had another assist for Holland.

Kieran Sadlier - 7.5 (Star Man)

Played as right wing-back and put in some decent looking crosses as times from that position and good penalty kick to get Wanderers back into the game.

Gavin Bazunu 7

Back in action after his international duty came to an abrupt end due to illness, Gavin Bazunu was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the first half. Fast reactions and a strong hand saw him deny Dapo Afolayan with an excellent save. Also had to be on hand for a few half chances and crosses before the break. His good showing continued in the second half, rushing off his line on a few occasions. Little he could do about the penalty, although he did go the right way.

Sean Raggett 7

Arguably the favourite to win Pompey's player of the season award later this month, Sean Raggett was on the right of the centre-back pairing in this 4-2-2-2 set-up change. Did brilliantly to block an early Bolton chance from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, who was linked with Pompey at the start of the season. Got out of jail after a slip-up led to a half chance for Aaron Morley, although it came to nothing. A really solid second half showing at the back, while a header off a clever free-kick almost gave the Blues a quick-fire second goal.

Marcus Harness 7

In the formation change, Harness was used as one of two attacking midfielders, given freedom behind the two up front. Good link-up play with the likes of Carter and Michael Jacobs, although he was guilty of misplacing backwards passes that led to Bolton counter attacks. Brilliant inginuity for the opening goal to jink away from his marker and fire in a low cross for O'Brien to convert in the perfect spot.

Aiden O’Brien 7

Former Sunderland and Millwall man O'Brien was back in the team and back in the goals after converting in his typical poacher's fashion early in the second half from Harness' low cross. During the game, he looked really sharp, ran at defences and caused problems, as well as maintaining his ever-present ability to get the ball to stick to his feet. Pressed well, like the rest of the front four and got joy out of consistently annoying his opponents. Perhaps chose the wrong option on a second half break at 1-0, passing to his left instead of trying to pick out an unmarked Harness.

How many times has Robinson got less than 5 in the player ratings this season? Must be well in the double figures now.

Very few other positives to pick, in the premier league we've only seen Kevin Long get a very rare starting, Shane Long came on for a 90th minute cameo. That's with 14 teams played today.

Championship sees Christie and Obafemi doing very well.
Festy, Cashin and Knight starting in a Derby win a highlight.

Long is the 14th Irish player to play in the Premier League this season. Still on course for the lowest number of Irish players ever, the previous worst was 15 a few years ago. Hard to see where we might get another from this season to match that - Adaramola or Okoflex might get a run out in a dead rubber game at the end of the season maybe. 7 of the 14 Irish players have played 5 games or fewer.

Looking at next season, from those 14 we're likely to lose Idah and Omobamidele to relegation with Norwich as well as Collins and Kevin Long to relegation with Burnley. It's probably Shane Long's last season in the league as well and Hendrick and Clark have already been removed from Newcastle's 25 man squad. So that would leave 7, which includes the likes of Aaron Connolly, Evan Ferguson and Will Smallbone who could all go out on loan. That would just leave Coleman, Duffy, Doherty and Kelleher (doesn't sound like he'll be going on loan).

Then looking at the Championship if the current top three are promoted the only Irish player likely to feature in the Premier League from those three next season would be Travers, and even that's not a guarantee - they will sign another keeper in the summer to compete with him.

Other than that someone might sign Knight at that level or Bazunu might get a top flight loan - but probably more likely to be Championship for him.

So while we're seeing plenty of players breaking through in the Championship and League 1 the Premier League situation is likely to get worse before it gets better.

Parrott Connolly Obafemi Idah Smallbone Collins Omobamidele O'Shea Kelleher and very very likely Ebosele and Travers next year maybe Bazunu being an outside shout too.

That's 9 lads who with the exception of Parrott have made a few appearances and have consistently been in PL 18 (starting or on the bench) over an extended period of time all bar Kelleher and Travers 21 or under too. It's really promising stuff.

I wouldn't rule out Cullen getting a move either to the PL or maybe somewhere like Germany too in the summer. Think he's out of contract in 2023 and his performances will certainly be attracting attention.

2/4/22

Championship

Kieren Westwood 6

Blameless for both goals. Did well to deny Bobby De Cordova-Reid at point-blank range in the first half.

League 1

Warren O'Hora 7.5

Never in trouble, solid and assured.

Conor Coventry 8

Made the game look easy with his relentless work-rate, mopping up in front of the back three.

Troy Parrott 7

A hard-fought performance with little reward and precious few sights of goal. Made some key midfield tackles and interceptions though, with some good touches too.

Luke McNally 7

Strong challenges early on helped set the tone for United's positive first half. Made some good tackles after the break when Plymouth looked dangerous. Unable to threaten much in possession.

Mark Sykes 6

Made it too easy for Law to turn inside in the build-up to the goal and was dispossessed by his opposite number a couple more times. Great pass into Whyte for the penalty that never was.

3/4/22

Premier League

Matt Doherty 9

Took a little while to work out how to affect the attack from the left but he did exactly that early in the second half, diving in to head home Kane's cross at the back post. He then added an assist with a cross to Emerson to poke home Tottenham's fourth. Another big performance from him.

Championship

Scott Hogan 7

Spent more of the game pressing and chasing down the ball than trying to get on the end of anything resembling an attack.

Callum Robinson 3

Offered next to nothing in the final third over the course of the afternoon. One opening on the counter was wasted when his ball across goal intended for Grant was too heavy. Got into a bit of an altercation with Taylor and was blunted by Pedersen.

EFL Trophy Final

Chiedozie Ogbene 7

A frustrating day until his wonderful extra-time goal.

Josh Kayode 6

Did very well as he laid the ball off for Wiles's goal but it was an all-too rare flicker.

You can alright see this at Derby tbh. Plays for his workrate etc now and it's definitely stunting his potential as regards as footballer/goalscorer (6 goals in his first season for Derby playing as an attacker/creator in midfield and for Ireland when he gets minutes).

It may well be good for Knight if they go down as he can move on. Personally I could see him going to that sort of team Norwich would be a good move with the way they play under Dean Smith!

Duffy always seems to be in and out of the brighton team as it is but will likely stay at Brighton.

Doherty is a difficult one to predict. Hes capable of having a fantastic game and then not so much.

They bought that young lad from Rangers in January as his long term replacement
