Don’t want to take away from a well worked goal but ffs I agree. They were like foosball players

Most goals come from defensive error or bad positioning. How many times have we seen our players lack the final pass over the years.

For all the talk of Duffys turn around in form, Hendrick since the Portugal game has been a player reborn for us. I cant remember him ever having 5 rock solid games in a row for us.

It reminded me of the soccer scenes in American TV shows like The Wonder Years or The Sopranos, though.

Is there really any need to be so thrifty with the substitutions?

Omobamidele really comfortable bringing the ball out. In general, but especially tonight. Good to see someone who looks ready-made to step into O'Shea's shoes in that regard.

Jeffrey is like a new player
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Even Christie has had some great runs and touches tonight.

Is Connolly the only outfield player not to get any minutes now?
