We know what they won. Liverpool won the league 3 times during the ban also, but couldn't play in Europe either.

Heysel was not an isolated incident involving English clubs fans, it was merely the tipping point. That explains the severity of it. There have been many riots involving fans of their clubs and their national team since. But sanctions would be covered by "closed doors games" now, so the teams don't pay the price for the fans actions. I always find it ironic how the English think they're judge and jury of other fans behaviour these days, given how long they have renovated other cities abroad, without permission.

Exactly.
Leeds banned for 3 years after 1975. Utd, Spurs, West Ham, Rangers all received sanctions in the 70s/80s. Heysel was the last straw, and rightly so.

Quality cross from Tierney and a great finish by Odegaard to put Arsenal 1 0 up v Everton.

Was strange in the VAR offside decision for Richarlisons disallowed goal they had the Arsenal player on a blue line and richarlison on a red one

Gordon should have walked as well for that stamp on Tavares. Not the officials finest hour.

That's a brutal decision to give that peno against Moutinho. Don't know how they can look back at it and still give it.

yeah all the top 3 got dodgy penalties today. Don’t think I’d have given any.
They’re the penalties big teams get when playing at home

Leeds struggling again 3 0 down at home to Arsenal at half time and it could have been more.

Surprised Wilfred Zaha doesn’t get more red cards
A real brain dead of a player; always squaring up to players or remonstrating aggressively with the ref Listened to him on a podcast once, lasted ten minutes. Thick as pig sh*t

My brother's always complaining about him saying the same thing. How did Norwich not get a penalty when they were 2-0 down to Arsenal. Was as blatant as it gets.

That’s the thing about VAR, you see incidents like that and wonder how it can possibly not be given
