The word seems to be that the Newcastle job is a two horse race between Emery and Howe?

Howe on the brink of becoming the new Newcastle manager.
Would their fans have welcomed him if he'd been Ashley's man? |

Edit: they probably wouldn’t but there is logic to it - he’s worked with some of their squad before, knows the league and genuinely wears a poppy (well at least knows what it is)… I ran out of ideas quickly. Bringing in a Eddie Howe level manager mid season who doesnt know the league has higher risk. The powers that be will be seeking a Summer replacement. Edited by Dalymount79 - 05 Nov 2021 at 7:22am |

What makes me smile is that he left Burnley as the wife found it hard to settle down being so far away from her family on the South coast , now does she think Newcastle is close to South London ?

I'd say Blackburn could give them a run for their money on that title.
