Big time. And I'm sure whilst the fans enjoyed that summer in hindsight it was the worst thing that could have happened to them as it means they've persisted with a manager who's clearly holding them back for another three years.

I assume that players aren't vaccinated based on the availability of the vaccine to their age group, and Gilmour just turned 20.
In reality, there should be no issue of exposure when actually playing the matches, and I would have thought protocols were in place to minimise contact when indoors.

Yep. Slovaks had a positive case amongst the squad but that was it.

Scotland though have had pre tournament issues, and now mid tournament issues. Unless there is an alternative explanation, their protocols are not looking sufficiently robust.

The pre tournament issue was an extra cautious decision from the SFA I think. Don't think there was a requirement for those players apart from Fleck obviously to be pulled

Bizzare, they are representing their country ffs, are the governments soo sensitive that 100 staff couldn't have all been vaccinated a month ago.

could you imagine the uproar if a multi millionaire gets vaccinated before someone older than them etc.
You say they are representing their country. Does that mean all public servants should be vaccinated first and all sports people and to what level etc etc. Just because football is high profile doesn’t mean they can skip the Q.

100% Baldrick.
Football should actually be an extremely low risk activity. In terms of the assistance that can be provided in mitigating the risks in higher risk environments with the sport, there is the organisation and funds in place to make it safe, and the activity itself is outdoors which is low risk. It is not up to government, or health systems to mitigate the failings by footballing authorities to keep the players safe from covid.

how long would a player be out of training after getting vaccine? Or would they be out for a day or two. I wonder how many players are vaccinated and what’s the recommendation.

All Spanish players were vaccinated after they got a few cases in the squad. Might explain their current form

But the amount of money spent on the constant testing. I think Dyche made that point. Save the money on the testing, test more groups in need and give them the jab.

I think they should have been vaccinated and charged a few K per person and that money given to local charities or the national healthcare system. Same with the olympics. With lockdown the big sporting events give people something to look forward to which helps with mental health etc |

I am sure that football managers will want to get their players vaxed before the kick off to the new season as someone is bound to have a reaction to it .

Ah would you stop lads, this is a player getting vaccinated ahead of a 30 year old. This isn't right at the start of the vaccination programme where grandads and grandmothers are skipped.
What sour f**k would be making complaints that the Scottish team and staff were vaccinated?

Why should they get vaccinated first if there is an age based rollout? The rollout is based on age, and in this instance the Scottish team weren't even leaving GB in order to play their matches. No reason at all for them to get it as some sort of priority.
