Both full backs were on bookings and entering ropey territory made sense to bring both off.
Ebosele had a solid game overall and the booking he got was very harsh. Getting a bit more comfortable at this level now.

Frustrating for the lad, seems to always take one step forward followed by two back. His sending off for the U21s last time another case in point. Any word on the injury?

It's feckin typical for us. Starts getting a proper run, gets injured. The first choice RWB, Ehizibue, is still out so Festy would have started the last 2 games. Google Translate of the report from before the last match: "Festy Ebosele will not take part in the match against Lazio. The Irish full-back has in fact accused a muscle strain due to the collision with the post in Florence last Sunday. An accident that also caused him a wound to the tibia sutured with several stitches." That doesn't sound good.

Played 65 minutes, looked very comfortable on the ball going forward, still a bit suspect defensively. Definitely wouldn't be playing him at right back in a back four against anyone decent until he improves in that area.

No consideration about it. The lad is starting in Serie A while we'll likely be lining up with a 34 year old League Two player starting at left back. He has to be called up

You would hope so. With Coleman out and Doherty not playing, if he could get a run of games and performances before the window he might even be a bolter to start.

Water break, so far not great, conceded peno and not seen much of the ball. Playing very high as the rwb, needs to try and get on the ball more. Juve causing lot of trouble down his side.
