Not sure how Ebosele gets the nod over him.

Because he’s better at football?

Struggled to hold down a place in a terrible Derby side and even our u21s but grand for the seniors?

Mcnamara playing consistantly for Millwall at least...

When’s McNamara getting his move to Serie A?
Ebosele the new Ogbene by the looks of it

A move to a mid table Serie A team with no guarantee of first team football. Maybe we should give him the armband.

You’re a little drama queen! Giving off that a player from Millwall wasn’t picked over a talented youngster who got a transfer to a Serie A club! Grow up.

Ebosele can cover either wing-back/wide-forward position, I would imagine that's the primary reason he has been selected over McNamara who is a right-wing-back only.
We're decent enough..

LOL. If you go back a few pages, he had everything Ireland related removed from his social media.

After making his debut in a 15 min cameo off the bench the other night, he started this evening in a
a 3-0 win over Slovenian side Iliri. He played 60 mins before being withdrawn.

Sounds like he played well and was involved in the goals from the match report.

Udinese lights up in the second half and wins in the name of Nestorovski. The ball of the game is at the feet of the Friulians, now in orange, right from the start. The Slovenians rely on the restarts but in defense they suffer from the tears in speed of Molina and Ebosele. And it is precisely on a free-kick gained by the latter that the game lights up: at 11 'Lovric crosses from the trocar for the split by Cocetta sidelines, Dzafic instinctively parries and on the rebound the young defender takes the post in full. Ilirija's counter-attack was born from the rebound and only a great intervention by Ebosele on Piscule on the edge of the Friulian area avoided the mockery. The green-and-whites take courage and try to impose their pace, but Udinese is still close to scoring, with a pass cut by Palumbo at the height of the disk on which Lovric does not reach for a matter of centimeters. Slovenian possession increases and frontal changes increase, but none really dangerous until the 42nd minute: Success gets rid of two opponents on the right and crosses tense in the area, Ebosele pounces on the ball but Dzafic is quick to take it off with his hands.

I think that's a strong sign he'll be in and around the first team at the  ery least. No guarantee of course but definitely a good sign.

Good to see they're regarded as first team players and have been issues squad numbers. I wouldn't put any importance on the numbers they've actually been given though. Im just glad they're being given a chance and not being sent on loan to Serie B or C, or worse playing youths/reserves.

Jebus, the San Siro against Zlatan & Co.

Will make some change from rocking up to Burton of a wet Tuesday evening!

[Edit: I see he's on the bench (along with Abankwah) for Udinese's pre-season friendly with Bayer Leverkusen kicking off shortly.

Incidentally, Udinese's first choice right-back, Molina, is an established Argentinian international and probably the club's most valuable player.  So unless he's sold, we won't see Festy starting in that position for some time.  Obviously most of us who've seen him play wouldn't class him as a right-back first and foremost anyway, so it's not the only position he'd be considered for].

Yep, I see Festy came on for that lad as left wing-back for the final 30 minutes against Leverkusen.  Nice.

He won't start initially but Ebosele it's looking like will see a lot of gametime. Can come in for Soppy or Udogie and who's to say he won't break into the starting 11 down the line. Italy have 5 subs and wing backs tend to be subbed in/out regularly in games. Eboseles versatility will be a huge asset.
