What? Confused
Because they dropped Bazunu obviously
LOL

I assume you're being sarcastic about that one.

Poisonous club because an Irish lad was justifiably dropped. 😂
Of course I’m being sarcastic.
I also don’t think agree he was justifiably droppped at this stage of the season, it stank of a manager trying to take the blame away from himself imo. And McCarthy has been sh*te since coming in too.

Taking Bazunu out of the starting 11, and Southampton conceding lots of goals and losing games proves that he's not the problem.

Proves he is not the only problem.

"Tottenham to test Southampton resolve for Bazunu" is a headline I didn't expect to see this morning. Probably nothing in it, but I think I'd actually rather he did a season in the Championship to build back up rather than going for another Premier League move this summer if one came up.

Bazunu should push for a move this summer. one of the top young keepers in england he should have no problem getting a decent new club

Tottenham are not the greatest for young up and coming Irish players as their last Irish international will tell you

A lot of rumours amongst the Liverpool media about Kelleher going to Spurs for 20m.

Tottenham should just buy the two lads and let them duke it out head to head so that we finally know which one is the better keeper. Smile

He's going nowhere except the Championship. He was part and parcel of a dreadful relegated team, making as many stuff-ups as those around him. Anyone saying his stocks have risen on the back of that is in denial. If anything his value has dived. Can he return better? Probably - but he has it all to do in the Championship. Last season might have gained him experience but it was also a massive wake-up call about life in the EPL - and he didn't fare too well.

I wouldn't be certain of that. Teams will see the potential in him, very few of today's best goalkeepers were playing at the level he has played at by 20/21. Aaron Ramsdale, as an example, was playing in League 1 at Bazunu's age and was relegated in three of his first four seasons as a senior footballer, including twice from the Premier League when he was older than Bazunu currently is.

If Southampton had a quiet mid-table season and had a better defence in front of him, as well as a better striker than Che Adams, he'd probably be seen as having had an OK year. He didn't make that many mistakes, it's just they were often punished because he had nothing much in front of him to help him. His ability on the ball will have been noticed also.

Personally though, I'd still probably rather he had a season in a Championship team challenging for promotion rather than trying to go straight back in at the top level. If he can back up his year in the Premier League with a standout season in the Championship there will be a queue for his services, or he might just go straight back up with Southampton.

He did that last summer, and it didn't go very well.
I'm far from writing him off, still has great potential, but think a year or two in the Championship will do him no harm

It will be really interesting what happens to him.

Bazunu Livramento,Bednarek,Alcaraz and strikers like Adams,Armstrong and Onunachu should be a borderline cheat code spine at Championship level if they can get the recruitment remotely right in 2/3 key areas.

Southamptons board made such a mess of the season and it’s not about them going down any team can go down it’s about how they recruited, the willy nilly messing around with managers etc.

I wouldn’t put my house on them getting it right even with the spine they potentially have to go to war with already.

Absolutely, kelleher has just 20 senior club appearances in all comps and hes turning 25 later this year. Bazunu for comparison has 121 under his belt and only turned 21 in February. Its a serious amount of experience at his age and will only be the making of him.

Nail on the head.

l hear you are a racist now, father ?

Plenty outlets linking him to Spurs in recent days. Do we think that’s in any way a runner?

Would be typical Levy to cop out of replacing Lloris with an established goalkeeper but this would really be a surprise move, imo.

It would be out there. Raya likely first choice but he does have plenty options outside Spurs and likely outside England too.

That’s one of about 100 outlets running the story. Just clicked on a random site to copy and share it here and it happened to be that.

Probably is little truth to the story.
