He's one of the best in the league in terms of high claims.

Bazunu was safe as houses today. Exactly what a team like Southampton needs a goalkeeper you can trust and who doesn’t need protection.

But he did get a lot more protection from his defence as well which made a huge difference. A lot of his supposed issues this season have come from him being left hopelessly exposed by his defence.

Good interview with Gavin on talksport earlier
Said he aims to become the best keeper in the world

Youngest ever EPL goalkeeper to play 3 games in a row, didn’t know that

Youngest to play first three games of the season I think it was. There have been a couple younger than him that have had a run, like Paul Gerrard who played a load of first team games at 19, but not many.

Very rare for a goalkeeper to play as much as he has done at that level at his age, Meslier the only other to do it recently.

Howler is a bit strong but he will certainly be disappointed. There wasn’t much power in that shot

defender infront of him pretty much steps out of the way of it.

Leeds fan here so don't mind seeing that. Completely unsighted and terrible defending but weak goalkeeping has to be said. Howler is a bit strong though.

He’s lucky he’s got a manager who I think will largely back him.
Collins has been put on the bench in recent weeks and he hasn’t nearly been has ropey as Bazunu.

Needs to anticipate it way better. Bedernak doesn’t cover himself in glory either mind.

I wouldn't be normally one to criticise a young lad but that's really poor for the goal, yes the defender in front probably should have dealt with it but Gav has to at least expect it might reach him.

Some questionable decisions to come for crosses before the goal as well.

Just seems to strike me as being erratic at the moment as if he's trying to prove a point.

Would agree that he probably should have done better but they were a lot more critical of Bednarek on MOTD. Bednarek is very error prone so that definitely isn’t helping Bazunu.

Should have saved it but it looked like he was completely unsighted by Bednarek, who he also probably expected to block it
