How have we managed that. Wright even needed two goes at it after a very weak first effort. That goal was straight out of the MON or Trap playbook. Long ball from keeper to big number 9 who knocks it on for a smaller player.

As I said, where is this co-ordinated strategy we have been promised?

Wright often gets criticism for his wastefulness but he did really well there with the first touch and composure to stick it away the second time. Kayode doing what he does best there as well.

Don’t think it was a terrible performance by any stretch. Got the early goal and knew we would be under pressure for the remainder. Sat in and kept it tight at the back, they haven’t looked like scoring in the second half. Great result away from home and great to have it in our own hands now

Bar the penalty call, there has been very little threat second half. To be fair, it has been a fairly good defensive display, albeit very, very Conservative. I've seen Crawford do defensive sessions and they are top class. Thought the team was very disciplined

Saying that, it's never fun watching a team who don't really want the ball. Us playing from the back is strange given that it just goes long anyway.
They finally did it man... They killed my f**kin' car...

Great result. Not great to watch. But I'll take it after all the other youth teams capitulation.

Bizarre, isn't it? It's the polar opposite of the worst MON/Trap performances where the negative setup clearly wasn't working and needed an in-game reset. Ceded barely anything to the Swedes here and clearly were in control for the vast majority of the game. Sometimes it doesn't need changing for the sake of it or to make it better entertainment.

Hardly despondent. I'm not willing theze to lose I am just frustrated because we already should know at this stage this type of football is terrible for underage groups especially. We kni k a win and the n what? Play like Brazil next week?

Great to win 2-0 but it was a 90minute suicide note in football terms.

Stole? Were you watching the same game as me? They had all the ball, they could do feck all with it due to the defensive solidity we showed

4 wins from 4 vs Sweden in last few years at U21 level.

Crawford's sh*te but those are the type of results we'll be needing against 2md / 3rd to have a chance of qualifying for World Cups at Senior level.

Sweden must be absolutely sick of the sight of us at this level. That's four wins from four games against them in the last two qualifying campaigns. An aggregate score of something like 10-2.

The non-penalty call was the turning point. It was definitely a penalty. It was a tough enough watch but you can't complain too much when it works - we were missing some important players also, which didn't help.

Two huge home games coming up now - two wins should get us a playoff place.

We offered absolutely nothing going forward past the 12th minute goal. They should have been awarded a stone cold penalty and then we scored on the long thump up field with a keeper mistake... yes, we stole it

We had one less shot on target than they did. They didn’t offer a whole lot in the final third either so definitely don’t think we stole it
