I would say he is raw and needs a season of consistent football before being ready for the step up.

What step up? Some people are seriously delusional when it comes to International football.

The step up from Norwich reserves to playing like you just said against a £40 million centre back.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

He just needs to play consistently, no matter what the level is.

Cullen/Molumby/Knight as a midfield three has potential, no question. Wouldn't be rushing the likes of Hendrick back in ahead of any of them.

This place is gas.

His first touch has been good for most of the game. Hasn't always done something with the follow-up but his touch has improved even as defenders are close to him.

Molumby far more mobile than hourihane. Midfield looks better for it

Mcclean giving the ball away with every touch this second half.

Horgan looking a consistently good option from the bench

Hopefully tonight will bring about the end of it and we can bring in someone who will at least make an effort in the autumn.

McCarthy played him every game

Not as a deep sitting midfielder though, Whelan and Hendrick were behind him.

Well he was horse manure. Didn’t even deserve an outstretched arm LOL

He blanks his team-mates any time they have the ball so it's not surprising.

It's been the best Duffy has played for a while. Not a liability on the ball and looks assured defensively. Great block there too.

Good hit from Idah. Much better this half, mixing it up well and a far better balance to the midfield. Feels like we're playing to our strengths more, the way we're playing suits the likes of McClean and Duffy far better as well. More of this needed.

I think we need legs in midfield and Hourihane just doesn't give you any. I like Cullen and Knight who can get about. Molumby gives plenty of energy in there too. Browne can offer a goal threat. Things looking ok in the engine room.
