Is it still about 150 games to eliminate 4 teams after the groups?

Imagine trying to explain this format to someone who is new to the sport. Not just this but the whole Intercounty season. Mental

they are so close to having this in a good state as a competition to be honest. do the draw once everyone's seeding is decided (i.e after the provincial finals). Don't bother with preliminary quarters, it's a nonsense - top 2 go through in each group, end of story.

I think that'd make for a great competition. It's a sickener from a Donegal POV having to face a team like Derry or Tyrone again after beating them already, but it is what it is. Winning Ulster would be huge for the group considering where we were last year, and I think it's the easier group as well than having to play Derry and one of Galway/Mayo.

Have to say I enjoyed that last minute winner for Galway today

The disrespect Dublin and Kerry show winning their provincials would sicken you. It's a shame cork couldn't do it. Cork or Clare would have at least held it above their head.

Clare number 7 is a beast. Hopefully he sticks around.

GAA has released All-Ireland group stage ticket packages.

€50 (£43) for three SFC group games
€30 (£26) for three Tailteann Cup group games
€15 juvenile package that only appears to be available to Dublin supporters.

Pity casement isn't built yet. Could do with the extra capacity.

Plan capacity for casement park is 30000 for euro 2028 and think it's 34000 after thsn. Clones is 29000 on Sunday even with casement park I reckon the extra 5000 capacity wouldn't be enough to meet the demand

Hopefully the game is worth waiting for 🤞

. it's a shame casement wasn't approved for it's original capacity. I think it was 38k.

Back to croke Park for the Ulster finals like Celtic tiger days 😂 we have some bandwagon, we had about 5k max there at 2022 final! Was embarrassing. Good to see the buzz back mind you. Struggled to get my mates to go to games last few years, they are all mad to go now

Casement is delayed again. Tenders are months overdue (design issues). Enabling works have found asbestos contained within the structures which will be a further delay.

Aw the jim mcguinness affect is in full flow and the bandwagon is back on the road again. What a difference a year can make in was at the final league game in roscommon last year and probably 200 donegal fans were at it and weren't to many of us in Newry for 1st round of the championship either.

The gaa clubs must be delighted with all of this their membership numbers going to sky rocket next year

He was slating him on it a few months ago.

I thought it was more of an opportunity to have a dig at Mickey Harte than anything.
