What's the story with restrictions over there. Are pubs likely to be open or will it be just restaurants? I see the curfew is gone so beers on the beach maybe alternative

Their restrictions in public places currently say no drinking in public places. Based on what we saw the last time, the local police may not be too understanding in this regard.

Portuguese police won’t stand for any breaches of the guidelines and after the last tome against Gibraltar they hit first so don’t say you weren’t warned.
Bars and restaurants open until 2am ,

I see Erin's Isle in Albufeira, where a lot of us drank the last time, is still closed because of restrictions.

Actually, it looks like it may be because there aren't enough tourists around to justify opening.

Our hotel was right across the road from Erin's Isle that time. Was a handy enough spot alright.

Just spoke to a girl who came back from Faro yesterday she said bars and Resturants open until 2.30am most places don't ask for your QI code loads of locals and French , no Brits at all where she was .
Flew Air Lingus and long queues at the bagage drop off as AL are now charging €18 to bring a cabin bag on board , now a day pack that fits under the seat is free . In Dublin and Faro they want to see where you are staying also coming back they want to see where you will be staying when you get home .

Do you need a test when returning to Ireland if you're double jabbed?

To all members, Unfortunately,
we have received official confirmation from the FAI this morning that
there will be no away ticket allocation for the away fixture against
Portugal on September 1st 2021. A press release with further details on the decision will follow from the association. Details
on how tickets for the home qualifiers with Azerbaijan and Serbia will
be sold to season tickets holders will also follow in due course. Thank you for your continued support. YBIG Independent Supporters Edited by Drumcondra 69er - 11 Aug 2021 at 10:39am |

A shame we can't be there. I guess we'll soon see if it's Portuguese decision or UEFA.
Fingers crossed for Azerbaijan and Luxembourg hopefully. But either way the decisions need to be made earlier, can't leave people waiting until 2 or 3 weeks before they travel Edit: Seems like it's a blanket decision made by FIFA

Debating if we're still going, say we will. Just this testing to sort is a nightmare flying from Belfast.
Might check out some Portuguese lessons on Duolingo
