Fair enough but the rebuttal to that is that the function of the house is what Bannon is after not what it looks like outside.   Often these two things are in competition with each other.  A nice looking house from the outside means it doesn’t work inside

I guy I work with (American) thought it was odd we buy the most expensive home we can afford with little left over for upgrades. Say new Kitchen/ Bathroom/ Bar etc

In America they will hold back a significant amount for upgrades - make the inside how you want to live in it.

I have a few friends from abroad as well who can't get their heads around how big some of the houses are in Ireland. One Swiss lad I knew would constantly rant when we passed them on the road LOL

I do agree to an extent. I don't understand why anyone needs 3,000 sq ft of space!
They finally did it man... They killed my f**kin' car...

And most of them house a family of 3 or 4. 50 years ago houses had more people than rooms now it's the other way round.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

do Irish people go to other countries and rant about how things are there 😀😀😀

I think we have a great attitude in that we always think everyone else is doing it better than us but secretly we like the way we live 😀

Bannons houses inside are a joke.  Like a cold laboratory.  He did up his own gaff and it looks sh*te.  All the houses he showed in Canada were crap as well.  Like modern art it is.  ''ooh look at the straight lines''

He's the type of fella who would encourage some middle class family to splurge 10,000 for this for their living room

I'd say his bathrooms have the toilet hidden away and you have to access it by double pressing on an invisible door set into the wall with no handle.  He probably has visitors to his house who come walking down the stairs with their trousers around their ankles telling him they can't find the bog roll because he has it hidden away

This was the "mini bar" fridge in our hotel room in Chisinau. It was some spot. The 1 LEU banknote was worth about 5 cent.

Yeah its complete nonsense.  You can't have something that looks good and functionalConfused

If I won the lotto and said to myself I will get the most well know architect in Ireland in to design me a house and he came back with this rubbish I'd tell him to f**k off.  It looks like a nuclear fall out shelter that Del Boy built out of lead and put on the roof of Nelson Mandela House.

Absolute rubbish.  A big dark grey metal tin can.

that’s your personal opinion I like the look of that house and plenty of light into the house too.

Most beautiful buildings are old buildings and look great from outside but very hard to get to work with modern tastes as they are dark inside.  Not saying it’s impossible but it depends on what you like.

I would much rather than house than the bungalow blitz that blighted rural Ireland in 70s and 80s with long corridors and 4 or 6 bedrooms off the long corridor.

Nowadays people request big open living areas with kitchen and living area joined up and lots of light coming into it.  That’s like the standard request and Bannon always delivers on that.

What a house looks like on the outside would be far down my list o criteria I must say.
