I’m not f**king stupid... I’ve seen them pass the ball and mix with the long ball you tool. They are not a tippy tappy team but they pass the ball and mix it up

Dont agure with GD as he has his UEFA badges Shocked

But yes Liam you are right in what you say they do mix it up and play the channels .

Its now approaching Day 3  of your obsession with me, merely because I pulled you up on your weird ramblings. In that time we've seen you start a thread to get a dig at me, on a number of occasions brought up my coaching qualifications and even bring up my username when I'm not debating with you?

Let it go old man.....

Have we ever had a period as fans where there aren't some cohort just moaning all the f**king time no matter what is happening on or off the pitch. Christ the night

I'm convinced some folks can't remember what happened last week never mind what was happening under Mick or MON. "This won't work", well the other way wasn't f**king working either. I've actually enjoyed the last three games apart from the results, it's nice to get excited as your players play a few simple one-twos to create some space and get a shot off now and again instead of just hoofing things and hoping we win a freekick or corner. I think there's been an obvious improvement especially from the first Finland game which was very poor.

Give Kenny the WC qualifying campaign and let's see how we go. No doubt there is an army who says we "can't afford to lose a qualifying campaign" or some other nonsense, well f**king news flash we already lost the first Nations League and the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign because of our last two managers so I'm willing to give this fella a go with the youngsters.

Knight was only on briefly but I liked the look of him

We are no worse than under previous managers but at least we are moving in a direction that allows us to get better.   The passing is getting quicker and we are creating more chances if not scoring. However we need to mix it up a bit more. We also need to take advantage of having talented wing backs and options at centre back. Surely the nations league is the place to try 3-5-2.  Need to look at selections as well. Brady offers nothing that you don’t already have in Hourihane.  Idah is not ready yet and Maguire, O Dowda, Horgan are not really international level.

Sad time for irish football when Finland do the double over you. Slovakia lost again last night to Israel.

With two so called set piece specialists in Brady and Hourihane, its amazing that they've been so bad
They're average players let's be honest. Duffy is the only specialist we have and that's banging in headers as a defender.

anyone know how the fans who were at the match would have sourced tickets? I seen on the FAI Facebook page one of the lads commented saying out of the 4, 3 travelled from Ireland and one lives in Denmark. Said they paid €200 for a COVID test.

They will have to quarantine when they go home yeah?

Just because not every ball is long or the keeper may play a pass and receive it back has no bearing on the fact that Burnley will always be regarded as a long ball side, I mean they're Premiership footballers ffs of course they'll be playing some short passes as some point but they most definitely don't - quote "do it a lot"

Ok maybe not a lot. But they do mix it up and have a lot of decent players on the ball like McNeil , Westwood and Jack Cork when fit

I don't want us playing a high line leaving Duffy exposed. I don't want the defence or GK playing short passes. I want the bact 4 tight and compact with 2 Cm shielding the back 4.

I want two up top chasing and putting the defence under pressure.
I do not like this ball but it's all we have.

Our set pieces have been highly disappointing. This must improve.

I look at what we do off the ball this week and I'm not impressed. We look slack. We lack bite. We look easy to play against. That worries me.

You do realize that most of the good to top sides in Europe will easily beat our press by simply passing the ball around our front men if it's headless chasing?

We have become an easy team to play against.

We've been fairly easy to play against for the last number of years though?

Our win percentage is absolutely awful for as long as I can remember?

There's no great skill in nicking a draw here and there when we've been absolutely battered for 90mins, where luck was involved is there?.
