Which two execs, are these "sources say" execs? Hardly needs saying anymore, but would you believe a word a journo says? And who exactly is the supposed corrupt individual(s) in this story?

Yeah, tough to really give much weight to stories like this if we don't know who the people are in question.

In what world are financial irregularities within the FAI a non-story? Do you think the FAI thought it was a non-story?

It's not an irregularity though is it? Nothing illegal done and from what was reported it wasn't underhanded. It was just a f**k up from whoever was supposed to make sure the stuck to the letter of the law with the government MOU.
And I've no reason to stand up for the FAI by the way and still feel that a lot of the new faces within the FAI very much still have to prove themselves.

Yeah, tough to really give much weight to stories like this if we don't know who the people are in question.

Was reported by John Fallon in Examiner and Mark Tighe from Sunday Independent and Daniel McDonnell from Indo.
Add to that, Roy Barrett brought forward his leaving date because of it.

Financial irregularity maybe not the correct term. Certainly wasn't regular though? He had to apologise and pay it back. The point I'm making that that it doesn't matter if it is an honest mistake or who ever is to blame, the FAI being brought infront of the PAC to explain their financials isnever going to be a non-story and Hill/The FAI know that.

Christ, we have a real genius here.  So far you have:
Said it’s a non story
Accused media and politicians of making story out of nothing
Said it was the FAI who flagged it (It wasn’t)
Accused me of having facts wrong (I didn’t, Bandwagon did)
Asked who where the corruption was (No one said there was any)
And you have finally landed on the classic ‘Sure who believes the MAinsTREAM MeeDJIA?
Which, lets be absolutely honest here, is the go to argument for internet idiots

The impact from Hill being paid over 20k more than the terms of the MOU are:

Government withholding 6.8m for a cash strapped FAI
Roy Barrett stepping down prematurely
A forthcoming trip to the Oireachtais
More damage to what is already a reputation in the gutter
Absolutely ZERO chance of getting a top tier sponsor which will lead to more serious instability
Two senior executives threatening to step down (reported by Mark Tighe, Daniel McDonnell and John Fallon and not disputed by FAI)
Disquiet among staff whose moral can’t be too high as it is

Apologies if I am missing anymore, which I probably am

The PAC usually consists of attention seeking politicians playing to the gallery. They dare not say boo to the GAA and IRFU, but those soccer heads will always be fair game.

It was a f**k up they could not really afford though. The optics are terrible
