The other 2 cancelled each other out combined with us knicking a result away to the Dutch early on put us bang in contention from the getgo and made it a 3 horse race instead of a two horse race.

We didn't knick that result. We threw away a two goal lead in a game we should have seen out. Was very disappointing.

Exactly, I initially thought he was talking about the 1-0 win which we 1000% knicked but then noticed the away part.

Yeah we played brilliant that night and it was definitely a game we should have won. We created lots of chances and Holland were there for the taking.
Keane stormed off after the final whistle as other players celebrated. He had a point.

Hoping that whatever the draw is any decent trips are as late as possible, hopefully we'll be able to travel again come September, March would be too soon probably.

For the love of god don't let us draw Denmark or Wales again

Anyone not wanting Denmark are probably the same people more interested in the price of pints on and away trip than how good the opposition are. Would be great to get them as top seeds. Hopefully we do and the away fixture is in March as very unlikely will be allowed to an away game at that stage.

I was too young to remember the game but nicked is the wrong word and we 2-0 up true. Was more so thinking in terms Holland would have been long odds on to win that game and it just opened up the Group getting a draw going by the reading of the results.

I remember watching a Keane interview years later and he saying along the lines of that “2-0 up we draw 2-2 at full time Irish players/management running onto the pitch celebrating” 😂😂

They have knocked us out once the other time it was other results eh at knocked us out not a draw at home to Denmark. 5 draws out of six against them everyone should be praying we get them. England are probably in the middle of the pack in terms of pot 1 teams and danced around us last month. We will get nothing off any other team in pot 1 unless things change

Croatia are a team in decline, so would probably have them the same level as Denmark tbh, if not worse.

England in ability are middle of the road but England in qualifying are near top of the list in terms of who to avoid along with Spain and Belgium.

Unlike France Portugal or even a Holland who can be bone idle in qualifying England tend to steamroll teams inferior to them.

Agreed on Denmark and Croatia being top of the list despite our grievances against Denmark recently.

Yeah the 3 games in March are a write off.
Maybe 2-5k will be allowed at the games at best.

To be honest I don’t even see full stadiums for Euro2020

Even the sept / Oct/ Nov games are still at risk.
You need 2/3 approved drugs by the EU in Jan and then a 6-9 month roll out period.

This the group id choose both for potential points tslly as well as possible interesting trips

Denmark ( no one really wants to go back but have seen we can possibly take points from them can't say same for most other pot 1 teams)

Slovakia (showed in the playoff we can compete with them as pot 2 teams goes definitely not the worst)

Luxembourg ( a team I've wanted us to draw for a while and 1 of the better pot 4 teams id think)

Faroe Islands (solely selected because I missed the last trip and want to tick this 1 of the list)

Malta (could pick any of the pot 6 teams so went for Malta as would make a great trip around September time)
the closest i will ever come to playing for ireland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0_7w4JyvI4

Pot 1 Denmark or Croatia outside of those 2 Germany will be under pressure to start well and could well be under new management after the Euros

Pot 2 Slovakia, Austria or Romania

Pot 4 Luxembourg or Israel

Pot 5 Latvia, Estonia or Andorra

Pot 6 Nó réal preference here

Pot 1 Spain
Pot 2 Poland
Pot 4 Bosnia
Pot 5 Kosovo
Pot 6 Moldova

Is this pound for pound the worst worst possible scenario as in you couldn’t possibly get a worse draw??
If we do get this I’d love to see the reaction 👀👀👀

Ability wise England are in the top 4. Only France and Belgium have more talent.  England are on a par with the likes of Portugal

No because Bosnia and Kosovo can't be drawn with each other I'd say Georgia instead though would be worst case
