Man U were due to play Stoke in a friendly last night and the game was called off as one Stoke player had C19.

What would happen in this case if it was not a friendly?

Are prem and championship games in danger of cancellation next weekend at the last minute or would the positive tested individual just drop out and the game go ahead?

Depends on contact tracing, if the player tests positive less than 48 hours before kick off I can't see how the game goes ahead

I’d say we will have a few games cancelled over the coming weeks.

Not ideal at all.
Have German and other leagues been doing as much testing?
Not noticed many cancellations there.

How long before kick off is the last testing done?

Only the one game postponed AFAIK and that was in Bundesliga 2. when a Dresden player or someone in their household tested positive

Be interesting if Man city make the next round and have to go to Lisbon to play, with having to quarantine when they get back.
Portugal hasn't been great lately has it? If it can't go ahead now it'll never go ahead this year.

In the states, baseball is back tonight. One interesting idea that I was actually thinking about recently, the TV stations are adding a CGI crowd in the stands. They've got the colours right, can get cheering, sitting, standing etc, and can even change so that fans leave early if one team is winning big.

I thought they could have done something like that for Premier League, would have made Liverpools presentation last night a bit less weird.
