Some people might have an interest in this. I looked at football clubs financial accounts and looked at what share of turnover went towards salary.

Around 6 out of 10 championship clubs turnover doesn't cover their salaries.

I had to double check it wasn't a joke when reading it.

How they going to mark each other at corners if they're not allowed within 2 car parking spaces of eachother?

I think all leagues should just wait until this is over, until its safe to resume football and then complete all seasons and competitions. If that means scrapping the 2021/22 season then so be it. This season is probably what 80% done? Next season is going to be impacted anyway, so just have a bit of patience and it'll get finished.
Haven't understood from day 1 what the rush to announce things was by any association

I'll say it again, I don't expect there will be any more professsional football matches in 2020, well outside of Belarus at any rate.

And 2021 is looking decidely dicey.

I don't get the need to declare this season over or void. Because whenever football starts again, the threat it will have to stop again is likely to be ever present.

Behind closed doors football requires constant testing of a large amount of people, and there will be a large public backlash against a large amount of professional athletes getting preferential treatment.

John Stones will be in his element judging by his man-marking LOL

The only good thing is the end of the pre-match handshake.

French Govt won't allow any sport at all before August. Would imagine they'll finish Ligue 1 as it is now.

The German goverment are mtg on Thursday to see what changes should be made (if any) to the current restrictions. The return if football will also be discussed.

Ultra Fan groups still appear to be against the "ghost" games. They make a good point against the return of football, as to how sustainable the current model (reliance on TV money) if it just takes some weeks of no money and clubs are going to the wall.

German fans tend to be far more involved than in the UK.
The reproduction rate of the virus in Germany has increased to 1 from @ 0.7 earlier this month. This might delay any green light on the restart.

For example some footballers with pregnant partners have expressed their reluctance and there's other practicalities such as if one player gets infected I presume the rest of their squad will have to go in isolation.
the Sun are selling Tory propaganda to the Brexit football morons suggesting this. Because the Germans are further ahead in planning a football restart  they need to make out its possible in UK too despite having no where near the testing capacity Germany has. If there are team sports like football / gaa / rugby in the autumn in this part of Europe we’ll be lucky.

My bet is that there won't be another professional football match played in England in 2020.

Not looking good for attending any football this summer in Germany

Large public gatherings including religious services will remain banned until 31 August. Bars, cafes, restaurants, cinemas and music venues will all remain closed.
