Martin has lost the plot. Little wonder that FF support is nosediving and SF came on top in the recent poll. The current coalition is probably unsustainable and Martin will likely be Taoiseach just long enough to cop the blame for most of the ensuing chaos.

He is a liberal centrist, that is to say centre-right. He isn't anything left, moderate or otherwise. He is a **** though.

The current position of the Irish Labour Party is what would traditionally be seen as centre to centre-right. The movement of the Overton window to the right over the past forty years may make him currently seem to be on the left, but he is far from it. This seems fairly accurate.

Only source for this is one journalist, who has someone else that watched it saying it didn't happen in the context suggested, would be a bit dubious of it until its reported elsewhere

It was reported by the same journalist that broke the story of the Clifden golf jolly Hard to imagine how there would be any scope for misinterpretation via lack of context It's an either it happened or it didn't happen sort of a thing
